Soon after exploring everything, most of Maximus' family was ready to return.
Uninterested in boring research and deduction, they preferred fighting dark beasts or merging seeds of path.
Like brutes who only knew how to fight or plant seeds, they weren't suited for delicate work.
As for Hazel, Angeline, Irene, Denice, Lily, Lydia, Luke, Sam, Nero, and some of his in-laws, they chose to stay and help Maximus with his work.
After seeing the rest of his family off, Maximus turned to those who remained.
"I plan to optimize the micro surveillance bots. If you want to help, raise your hands. If not, you can study parts of Lazo's body, it should give you massive gains."
As part of the deal he settled with Lazo, those body parts were equal in value to the Space-Time Lab.
Even glimpsing a slight trace of Lazo's essence was enough to provide great benefit.
If Maximus weren't in a hurry and didn't have other priorities, he might have focused on this instead.
With his background in studying Zar, he could potentially improve his Origin Explosion or enhance his plane-level abilities.
Hearing Maximus' words, the others fell into deep thought.
"Since Father is optimizing the micro surveillance bot, we'll help," Luke and Sam stepped forward.
Over the years, as they rose to the absolute level, they didn't just study mechanics; they also began to dabble in alchemy.
Proficient in mechanical alchemy fusion, they believed they could contribute.
"Me too, Father. My wife and I can help," Nero muttered, holding Mira's hand.
With the ability to see imperfections, Nero could quickly warn Maximus if something went wrong.
As for Mira, though she hadn't regained all her memories, she still retained experience from the Chaotic Void outside the Aeon Plane.
Her knowledge of different environments in the Chaotic Void could offer Maximus critical insight.
The others, with different professions and areas of expertise, didn't think they could help directly.
So, when Maximus gave them a different task, they nodded, curious to see what made the strongest overlord's physique so unique.
"Then it's settled. Let's head to the Space-Time Sanctum…"
Arriving at the main laboratory, Maximus and his family began working.
Laying out the blueprints of the micro surveillance bot and its possible configurations, Luke, Sam, Nero, and Mira got to work.
"Father, if you plan to let these bots roam outside the Aeon Plane, you need to account not just for the materials, but also the different laws out there," Luke said.
"Hmm, noted. Mira, do you have any idea what laws or energies are active in the Chaotic Void?" Maximus asked.
Focused on synthesizing materials that could withstand dark and chaotic energy, he hadn't paid much attention to the laws themselves.
Reminded by his son, Maximus decided he needed a comprehensive deduction, factoring in the external laws as well.
"They're the same as those in the Aeon Plane, 161,803 laws, but their source is different," Mira explained.
"Instead of being generated by the environment, they emerge spontaneously from the collisions of chaotic energy."
"Because of this, they're wild and unpredictable. They can even turn stable laws chaotic."
"I see… Seems I'll need to set up a specialized recording device." Hearing Mira's explanation, Maximus was enlightened.
The Data Tower lacked information on the spontaneity of laws in the Chaotic Void.
To decode this unpredictability, Maximus needed data on how chaotic energies interacted, what each collision produced and how they behaved.
With enough data, even if the materials on the micro surveillance bots were subpar, the bots could still survive, like fragile boats on rough seas, floating and riding the waves.
"Eve, can the Observation Tower handle this task?"
"Yes, but I can only gather rough data. Furthermore, since it's outside the tower's monitoring range, it'll consume a vast amount of energy."
"Just rough data? That's not good enough."
Remembering the data logs in the Data Tower, Maximus understood that Eve's version of "rough data" was basically guesswork.
Working with vague and inaccurate data would only lead to confusion and wasted effort.
"I can't help that. But if you give me some Plane Origin, I can boost the Observation Tower's power and get a clearer picture," Eve offered.
Having seen Maximus use Plane Origin to power the production machine, Eve had long observed how miraculous that energy was.
With Plane Origin, she could multiply the Observation Tower's capability several times over.
"Plane Origin? Fine. Just tell me how much you need."
Since it only cost Plane Origin, Maximus didn't hesitate.
Besides being used as rations for the Absolutes he supported and the Overlords he negotiated with, he only used Plane Origin occasionally.
It wasn't that he didn't value it; he just couldn't bring himself to spend it carelessly.
"That's great! Leave the recording to me." Excited to use plane origin, Eve became cheerful.
With the data issue for the Chaotic Void resolved, Maximus and his family began offering suggestions one after another.
Meanwhile, as Maximus focused on optimizing the micro surveillance bots, his family began testing various parts of Lazo's physique, labeling and turning each into a specimen.
At first, they didn't think much of it, assuming Lazo was just another powerful Overlord.
But as they examined each specimen and logged the data, their expressions changed to shock.
It felt as if a terrifying monster was hidden inside Lazo's body, growing stronger by the second.
Even though they were handling only pieces of flesh, blood, and soul essence, it felt like they were dealing with a bomb, one that could go off at any moment.
"Are you sure it's safe to study this?" Angeline muttered nervously.
"It should be fine. Didn't Husband say even an Overlord couldn't lose control in here?" Hazel replied, still confident in Maximus' words.
"No need to fret, Mothers. We're in a secure, controlled lab. Instead of worrying, we should be fascinated that such a specimen is right here on our table," Lily muttered excitedly, with a glint of madness in her eyes.
"Hey, sister, calm down. Don't get too worked up," Lydia said, shaking her arm.
