In the temple's monitoring room, Yuujin and the women, including Bulma, were watching the screen, which displayed two spacecraft speeding through space.
Their satellites had detected the ships a few days ago, and according to computer calculations, they would land on Earth today.
"Master, the targets will reach Earth in five minutes. Should we sound the city alarms?" Mai asked in her military uniform.
"No need for now. Our real enemy is the cosmic emperor Frieza. These two aren't worth mobilizing Earth's full strength; we can handle them ourselves," Yuujin replied.
"However, since they've come all this way to visit our Earth, let's give them a small welcome."
"When they enter the atmosphere, shoot them down with satellite cannons!"
"Yes!" Mai and the operators quickly executed Yuujin's orders, while Yuujin stretched and stood up.
"Goku, Chi-Chi, Launch, come with me to meet our guests," Yuujin said.
"Bulma, Tights, stay here in the temple to handle any unexpected situations."
With simple arrangements in place, Yuujin, Goku, Chi-Chi, Launch, who had switched to her blonde persona, and a group of Red Ribbon fighters left the temple, while Bulma and Tights stayed behind to command operations.
Though peace and tranquility reigned on Earth below, the entire temple was now in a state of combat readiness.
Out in space, two ships streaked toward Earth, blazing through the atmosphere. Friction caused the ships to glow red-hot, trailing a fiery tail like two meteors about to crash into Earth.
Meanwhile, Earth's satellites locked onto the approaching invaders, gathering energy and firing a series of electromagnetic shots. The shots hit the descending ships precisely, erupting into two bursts of brilliant firelight.
Any ordinary beings would have perished from such an attack, but these guests from space were no ordinary beings. Emerging from the dissipating flames and shockwaves were two slightly singed figures: Nappa and Princess Vegeta.
"Cough, cough…damn Earthlings! They destroyed our ship," Nappa fumed, coughing and shaking with rage. "We'll kill them all!"
"Quiet!" Vegeta commanded, instantly silencing Nappa. Although the sudden attack had left her somewhat annoyed, she quickly locked onto the satellites that had attacked them with her scouter.
"Tch, pointless toys!"
With a flick of her hand, several energy blasts shot from Vegeta's palm, streaking into space and obliterating the satellites that had attacked them.
"Princess, our ship is destroyed. What should we do now?" Nappa asked, looking disgruntled.
Although the Saiyans were a mighty warrior race, they couldn't survive unaided in the void of space. Without a ship, they'd be trapped on this "inferior" planet.
"Calm down. The intelligence was wrong; this is no low-level civilization. If they have the technology to destroy our ship, they can build us new ones," Vegeta said calmly. Realization dawned on Nappa.
"Heh, you're brilliant as always, Princess!" he replied, scratching his bald head and trying to flatter her. Vegeta gave him a look of disdain, thinking, Does he think I'm as muscle-headed as he is?
"Let's go down to the surface. We'll deal with the ships later," Vegeta said.
"Our 'hosts' have welcomed us so warmly; it's only fitting we return the favor."
"Yes, Princess!" Nappa replied, his face showing a savage grin.
Descending quickly, they soon landed on the ground in a deserted wilderness. The area was empty except for a few wild animals, which scattered in terror at the intimidating energy emanating from the two Saiyans.
"Princess, there's no one here. Where are the people who attacked us?" Nappa asked.
"No need to look. They're already here," Vegeta replied, her tone indifferent.
At that moment, with the sound of rushing energy, Yuujin and his team, including Goku, landed nearby.
Vegeta remained calm, while Nappa felt a momentary shock. He quickly used his scouter to analyze them and saw that their power levels were only in the hundreds. He relaxed slightly, thinking, So it's just these weaklings who managed to kill Raditz. Must have been luck.
As Nappa and Vegeta sized up Yuujin's team, Yuujin and the others studied the two Saiyans. Although the others didn't recognize them, Yuujin, who had lived on Planet Vegeta for six years, knew them well.
Nappa had lost all his hair, becoming a true bald brute, with muscles bulging so menacingly that his arm alone was as thick as a barrel, like a human tank.
Yuujin quickly shifted his gaze to Vegeta. Over the years, the once-little princess had grown into a fierce beauty. With her long ponytail, tight battle dress, and tall, imposing figure, she was quite different from the short Vegeta from Dragon Ball. This Vegeta would make the original cry!
Although undeniably beautiful, she exuded an icy aura, like a queen beyond reach.
Finally, breaking the tense silence, Yuujin spoke.
"It's been a while, Princess Vegeta."
