Mars, one of the planets in the solar system, lies close to Earth and is the fourth planet from the Sun.
The entire planet boasts a reddish-orange appearance, with a thin atmosphere and frigid climate. Its surface is largely barren and desolate, a lifeless wasteland unfit for any species to survive.
Yet on this particular day, the desolation of Mars was broken by the arrival of some uninvited visitors from the cosmos.
A sharp sonic boom tore through the void. A figure streaking through space, trailing a fiery red aura, hurtled toward Mars at breakneck speed.
It was none other than Frieza!
BOOM!!!!
As Frieza crashed into Mars' surface, a deafening explosion reverberated across the planet. A massive energy wave swept away countless clouds of dust and debris in all directions.
Volcanoes erupted en masse, fierce storms raged unchecked, and the previously silent and barren planet descended into chaos.
"Ha… ha…"
Disheveled and battered, Frieza slowly levitated out of an enormous crater. Gone was his usual composure and elegance—his face twisted in unprecedented rage.
"Saiyans! Saiyans!! Saiyans!!!"
Frieza was infuriated. The recent ambush had hurled him from the void of space down to this lifeless planet, a humiliation no one had dared to inflict on the mighty Emperor.
And it was all because of those damnable Saiyans!
"Hahaha…"
"Frieza, so even you have moments like this!"
"HAHAHAHA!!!"
A boisterous laugh echoed. Frieza looked up to see four figures wreathed in blazing auras descending rapidly from the sky to hover before him.
It was the pursuers: Yuujin, Goku, Chi-Chi, and Vegeta.
"Vegeta! It's you!!!"
Frieza's eyes blazed with fury as he glared at Vegeta.
"So terrifying, so terrifying. But it wasn't me who sent you flying just now," Vegeta smirked, her voice dripping with mockery.
"Oh, by the way, it was these three who did the honors," she added, gesturing toward Yuujin, Goku, and Chi-Chi.
"You're Saiyans too?!"
Frieza's gaze darkened as it settled on the three newcomers.
"Nice to meet you, Frieza. I'm Yuujin, and I'm also a Saiyan."
"I'm Goku, Son Goku. Another Saiyan."
"Chi-Chi, Earthling."
Yuujin, Goku, and Chi-Chi introduced themselves with polite smiles.
Though facing an enemy he had once revered as an almost godlike figure, Yuujin couldn't suppress his excitement.
"Saiyans! Monkeys! You all deserve to die!"
Enraged beyond reason, Frieza didn't care about their pleasantries. As far as he was concerned, Saiyans were abominations that had to be eradicated. Leaving Vegeta alive in the past had been a grave mistake, but no matter—he could correct it now and erase the Saiyan race once and for all!
Energy coalesced in Frieza's eyes, unleashing twin beams of light that shot toward Yuujin and Vegeta with blistering speed.
But such a simple trick wouldn't work. Yuujin, Goku, and Chi-Chi dodged effortlessly, their forms flickering out of the attack's path. The beams streaked into the distance, detonating with an earth-shaking explosion tens of thousands of meters away.
"Frieza, the one who'll die here today isn't us—it's you!"
Yuujin's face turned cold as he spoke, his previous smile gone.
"Hahaha!!!"
Frieza burst into mocking laughter.
"Kill me? Frieza? No matter how much time passes, you Monkeys never cease to be ridiculous!"
Frieza's tone dripped with derision, as though recalling an absurd joke. King Vegeta and that fool Bardock had been the same—thinking their meager strength could topple him.
Arrogance, stupidity, ignorance, hubris…
These were the very definitions of Saiyans.
Still, Frieza adjusted his scouter, scanning the power levels of the four before him. These Saiyans seemed far stronger than any he had encountered before, given they had managed to force him down to this barren rock.
The scouter beeped and displayed the readings:
200,000. 200,000. 200,000. 200,000.
Frieza frowned. The four of them had identical power levels of 200,000?
How peculiar. And why had Vegeta's power jumped from 150,000 to this level in such a short time?
Vegeta sneered, noticing Frieza's puzzled expression. After a year of training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, he had mastered suppressing and manipulating his energy. The power Frieza detected was merely a fraction of their true strength.
"Not bad for Monkeys, I'll admit," Frieza scoffed as he deactivated the scouter.
"Frieza, underestimating us will be your downfall," Yuujin warned.
"Why don't you stop holding back and show us your true form? Let's have an all-out fight, right here and now."
"Show my true form? Against you? Don't flatter yourselves."
Frieza's voice was cold.
Though in his most restrained form to suppress his overwhelming power, he was confident that his current strength—530,000—was more than sufficient to obliterate these opponents, even if their combined power surpassed his.
Real battles weren't simple arithmetic.
One skilled warrior with a power level of 10 could crush dozens of weaklings with power levels of 5. By the same logic, Frieza's 530,000 would easily annihilate these four "200,000s," unless they had tricks up their sleeves.
"I've warned you, but if you insist on ignoring me…"
"Chi-Chi, why don't you enjoy teaching the self-proclaimed Emperor of the Universe a lesson before he gets serious?"
Yuujin turned to Chi-Chi with a smirk.
"With pleasure."
Chi-Chi's expression turned icy as her long hair fluttered, her aura beginning to surge…
