This Is Not the Female Demon Lord I Remembered Chapter 94

· Liang Yi contentedly turned off the player forum after watching the praises for a while, reveling in the feeling that legends about him persisted even when he was not actively part of the community.

However, what caught Liang Yi’s attention was the player panels, which seemed different from the previous life. Normally, at the bottom of the character panel, it should indicate the number of remaining resurrection counts.

In the last life, everyone had 3 counts, and Liang Yi had only heard about Spirit Pills that could increase the number of resurrections, but those were out of reach for players.

For players, it’s just an additional resurrection count, but for the natives, it’s literally an extra life.

This time, Liang Yi checked several players’ panels that showcased their attributes, but none had the resurrection count listed.

"Strange, could it be that I remembered wrong? Or did this function not appear during the internal test?" Liang Yi doubted himself, especially since he hadn’t died during the internal test and so much time had passed.

Logically, after cultivation, the Divine Soul should strengthen along with the increase in Realm, and memory should also gradually reach a level of never forgetting; old memories should be even harder to forget.

But the resurrection count is no trivial matter, the screenshots of the player panels were right before his eyes, forcing him to doubt his own memory.

To say one player might take screenshots without capturing everything needed is one thing, but for four or five players to do so?

Liang Yi frowned, puzzled.

"Brother Liang, you seem in good spirits." A sincere and gentle voice sounded beside Liang Yi.

"Why aren’t you attending to your business and instead coming here?" Liang Yi glanced sideways at He Zhiqing, who was sitting cross-legged beside him, probably feeling annoyed from dealing with the officials of the Immortal Dynasty and came out to relax.

"I was just afraid Brother Liang might feel lonely." He Zhiqing pulled out a bamboo fishing rod from his ring, this time without mentioning any competition of luck.

After going back last time, the more he thought about it, the more it troubled him. He, He Zhiqing, Chief True Inheritor of Complete Heaven Sect, who always divined the Heavenly Mechanism, when has he ever lost in luck?

Later, when he was idle, he calculated Liang Yi’s fortune, and the immense luck almost blinded him.

This guy is too powerful, unbearable.

"Why don’t you accompany Sister Yu? I think she’s lonelier than me," Fang Zhi alluded teasingly.

"Ss... Ah... Uh..." He Zhiqing looked embarrassed, struggling to utter a word.

If he went to find Sister Yu alone, it wouldn’t look good to others.

"Feeling embarrassed to see her alone?"

Liang Yi understood fully, promptly packed up the small fishing rod and stood up, pulling He Zhiqing along. This was the time for Liang Yi, known as the paragon of justice and conscience in the Mortal World, to make an appearance.

"Hey hey, junior brother, slow down."

"Sister Yu? Are you there?" Liang Yi, pulling along He Zhiqing, reached Yu Gejing’s house and called out softly a few times, only to discover nobody was inside.

"She’s over there." He Zhiqing sensed for a moment and located Yu Gejing’s presence near the bamboo forest to the right of the house.

Following the mossy cobblestone path through the lush bamboo forest, not far ahead, they saw the back of Yu Gejing.

And in front of Yu Gejing, there was another figure in a Taoist robe.

"Looks somewhat familiar." Liang Yi muttered quietly.

He Zhiqing’s first sight was the back of Yu Gejing, originally showing a delighted expression. However, upon seeing the robed figure, his face turned bitter.

"Disciple He Zhiqing, greets Master!" He Zhiqing respectfully bowed to the robed figure.

"Taoist Sect Liang Yi, greets Mr. Fang Zhi." It wasn’t until Liang Yi got closer that he recognized the person to be Yu Gejing’s father, He Zhiqing’s mentor, Sect Master of Complete Heaven Sect, Fang Zhi.

No wonder just now he and his senior brother only sensed Yu Gejing and did not notice Fang Zhi.

Yu Gejing glanced at his nervous junior brother, then at his father, and gently bowed his head with a smile.

"Come here," Fang Zhi turned around and motioned for Liang Yi and the other to come over.

"I’ve noted the matter of you secretly taking Jing’er down the mountain, we’ll discuss this back at the Sect." Still looking young, Fang Zhi pointed at He Zhiqing, his eyebrows furrowed together.

"Dad! Why are you blaming my junior brother? I forced him to take me out of the mountain, it wasn’t his idea to bring me out." Yu Gejing stood by He Zhiqing.

Normally, Liang Yi couldn’t notice any resemblance between Yu Gejing and Fang Zhi, but when the two confronted each other with furrowed brows, Liang Yi then felt like there was no doubt these two were father and daughter.

"A grown girl can’t be kept at home forever! Do I not know your situation better? Can your body handle running around everywhere?" Mentioning this made Fang Zhi furious; luckily, he had no beard, otherwise, it could have curled up to the sky.

"It’s my fault, I shouldn’t have taken Elder Sister Yu out." He Zhiqing lowered his head and apologized.

"You don’t need to admit guilt, you did nothing wrong!" The usually gentle Yu Gejing, now like a changed person, stood firm.

Yu Gejing pulled He Zhiqing back, letting him stand upright next to her, biting her lip with a defiant look at Fang Zhi.

He Zhiqing glanced at the woman beside him, his lips moved slightly, but in the end, he remained silent.

Liang Yi, on the other hand, slowly backed away, trying to minimize his presence. This complicated entanglement of mentor, junior brother, senior sister, and father was too intense! He feared that once the three calmed down, they might kill him to silence a witness.

Fang Zhi, challenged by his daughter in front of his disciple, found it hard to retain his dignity. He just wanted to play the strict father role once, but why couldn’t his daughter give him that chance?

What to do now? If he showed weakness, wouldn’t his daughter just take more liberties, dragging his dear disciple out all the time?

To outsiders, Fang Zhi might be a Peak Master of Great Perfection in the Seventh Realm, but in front of his daughter, he was just an ordinary father.

"Do you have any instructions for coming here this time, Master? Didn’t you already communicate about the tournament yesterday through the Communication Jade?" Eventually, He Zhiqing broke the somewhat rigid atmosphere.

"Cough cough, yes, the matter. Oh right, I came here because I have good news for you." Fang Zhi patted his head, realizing he was getting senile. He was supposed to share some good news with his daughter but suddenly decided to act the strict father.

"Jing’er’s illness might have hope now," said Fang Zhi in a mild tone.

"Really, Master?" Hearing this news, He Zhiqing showed more excitement than the patient herself, and from Liang Yi’s perspective, there was even a slight moistness in He Zhiqing’s eyes.

"Of course, would I joke about something to make you happy?" Fang Zhi smiled, finally finding his groove.

"Father, what do you mean by that? Isn’t my illness..." Yu Gejing furrowed her brows. She wasn’t doubting her father’s words, but she had thought her days were numbered for over a decade. Official source is NoveI[F]ire.net

"Haha, actually, we have your Uncle Chen Hua and his main disciple to thank for this. Over there, no need to hide, come on out." Fang Zhi chuckled heartily, his Mental State slightly unsettled after recently confirming that this method might work.

Liang Yi, who had almost hidden himself in the bamboo, seeing that he wasn’t likely to be silenced, confidently came out.
