This is really not mechanical ascension Chapter 649

This conspiracy theory isn’t a new thing; Li Ming specifically looked it up, and nine out of ten bloggers were all mentioning it.

Because over three thousand years ago, when the Hammer Divine Craftsman disappeared, this conspiracy theory was prevalent for a while, but it quickly faded away.

The current video bloggers basically had nothing new; they took the old reports, gave them a casual rewrite, and released them.

"The Great Expedition probably refers to the crackdown on the Sister’s Heretical Cult..." Li Ming found some old news on Black Hole Network, "As for the claim that the Star Abyss Empire suffered heavy losses..."

"The infiltration by the Sister’s Heretical Cult must have been quite severe back then; to nearly strangle the organization to death, the Star Abyss Empire must have paid a hefty price..."

"Lost items?" While searching, Li Ming found no relevant clues, only a few scattered reports that mentioned it briefly.

But the Great Expedition triggered another extremely important matter that received wide attention.

"...The Great Expedition event is widely regarded as a symbolic incident that led to the tripartite balance of power between the Upper House, Lower House, and the Royal Family within the Star Abyss Empire..."

This is a record from a history textbook of some civilization.

Before the Great Expedition event, the Royal Family’s authority was supreme over both Houses, though it was also in decline.

But the Houses needed to join forces to contend with the Royal Family; after the Great Expedition event, however, the Royal Family’s authority declined rapidly until a tripartite balance was achieved.

The Glory Saint Emperor, after all, was brought to power by the Sister’s Heretical Cult, and the subsequent separation surely resulted in heavy losses.

The Houses took the opportunity to challenge and weaken the Royal Family’s authority; Li Ming could guess some of the inside story, but as for the lost items...

"Sister’s Heretical Cult, Hammer Divine Craftsman, the lost items..." Li Ming pondered, uncertain if these were just baseless rumors. He thought about asking Blackbeard, but there was no immediate response from him.

And regarding the Sister’s Heretical Cult releasing Fusi, there was no reaction from them either.

It couldn’t really be true that they had abandoned Fusi, after all, it’s an S-level Life Form.

Shaking his head, he organized the clues in his hand, went over them again, and memorized them.

Robbin, after setting down her things, was eager to head to the Night Moon Laboratory.

"This is an excellent opportunity; you could take it to leave. Staying by Li Ming’s side is not a good choice," the steward advised, not for the first time.

His system had analyzed that staying by Li Ming’s side came with a considerable risk of exposure.

"Leave? That doesn’t sound so good..." Robbin hesitated, "I’ve been getting food and clothing, all sorts of good stuff, just leaving ?"

"There will be opportunities for repayment in the future. You’ve given him your coordinates; he can go to the Dimension World himself," the steward said.

Robbin felt troubled; having been with the steward for tens of years, he naturally had his best interests at heart, so he could only say:

"Let’s talk about it when I become an A-level Life Form. The Night Moon Biological Company likes to pick on the weak; I was planning to go there with Li Ming."

The steward wanted to add more, but was stowed away.

"Li Ming, if you’re not too busy, could you accompany me to the Night Moon Laboratory?" Robbin approached Li Ming, seeming somewhat embarrassed and hesitant: "If you’re occupied, I can go alone."

"No problem, the people from Star Abyss Empire won’t arrive until the day after tomorrow; I’m free right now," Li Ming glanced at him and nodded.

Seeing how easily Li Ming agreed, Robbin breathed a sigh of relief.

The two set off without further ado, leaving Thunder and the Tank Guard in the room. They took the VIP Shuttle, speeding past queues and waiting, and quickly arrived at the Night Moon Biological Company.

The place was as bustling as ever; not much different from his last visit. Not long after entering the lobby and before reaching the rest area, someone came to guide them.

"Mr. Li Ming, welcome, you may wait in the VIP lounge; a dedicated client service manager will attend to you."

She was a woman dressed in professional attire, with a pencil skirt and a pleasant smile.

He didn’t use Mimicry, and was recognized by facial recognition as soon as he entered.

"I’m here with this friend; he’s come to collect an A-class Genetic Seed," Li Ming said, pointing at Robbin.

Robbin had a face full of discontent, wondering why his expensive customization didn’t include face recognition on file.

"I see, it’s the same; please follow me. Your friend will be attended to by other staff," the woman continued cordially, taking them up the elevator to the VIP lounge.

Soon, someone came to greet them.

"It’s you." Li Ming was surprised, looking at the female serpent-lizard before him. She had been the one to assist him last time; if he remembered correctly, her name was... Emma?

"Mr. Li Ming..." Emma smiled, her demeanor graceful, and even through diverse aesthetics, Li Ming didn’t find her scale-covered cheeks repulsive.

"Mr. Robbin..." Emma turned to Robbin, a hint of oddness flashing in her green pupils.

Of course, she recognized Robbin and knew that the Genetic Seed she had given to Li Ming three months ago was originally intended for Robbin.

How did these two end up together?

Robbin, sulking, had no good impression of these people and said bluntly, "Where is my Genetic Seed?"

"Please follow me..." Emma wasn’t bothered, leading Robbin to the vault, and only after he received the Genetic Seed did his expression ease up a bit.

"Sir, we have professional Gene Fusion Supervision Rooms here; if you need, we can arrange that for you," Emma offered with a smile: "The prices range from twenty million to fifty million, and up to one hundred million."
