This Spiritual Energy is Lethal! Chapter 737

Chapter 737: Chapter 736: Rainbow Bridge

Sleery was extremely nervous because she could tell that this man was no ordinary person, and the air around them was teeming with electric charges, all teleportation abilities sealed off.

He was Thunder God Thor. ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ NovєlFіre.net

“You’re Thor.” Chen Ke stated bluntly, right hand shielding Sleery.

Thor nodded, striding in from the doorway, hands clasped behind him, his golden hair slicked back with what seemed to be hair gel, and his beard braided into a chunky plait. Now, he stood merely seven or eight steps from Chen Ke.

“I’ve spent some time looking for you. I thought you would try everything to get them back after losing them,” Thor said, looking at Chen Ke, seemingly reproaching him.

“Are you here for revenge for your daughter?” Chen Ke asked.

“No, it’s not like that,” Thor shook his head.

“Then what do you want from me?” Chen Ke said.

“I am here to cooperate,” Thor said with a smile.

“Don’t trust him… he looks like a swindler,” Sleery warned.

Thor glanced at Sleery, his gaze licking her entire body like a tongue. He stroked his beard and said, “The witches you have around you are quite something.”

“She is none of your concern,” Chen Ke replied coldly.

“I know… I know,” Thor said, “Don’t tell me you don’t want to find your other two witches.”

“They’re in 2137. If I had a way to get there, I would have gone long ago,” Chen Ke said.

“Um… just as I thought… you really can’t do it…” Thor mumbled to himself as if pondering something.

He walked back and forth, thinking, then looked at Chen Ke and said, “You are only part of it, so you transcend time but cannot freely travel through it.”

Chen Ke didn’t speak. This was his first time facing a deity with human intelligence, or rather, Thor was a human with deity attributes… Anyway, in this regard, Thor knew more than Chen Ke; after all, he was an ancient deity.

“This also has nothing to do with you, I have no interest in cooperating with a deity,” Chen Ke said.

He couldn’t kill Thor, nor did he know if he now had the power to confront him. Just Thor standing before him brought an indescribable oppressive feeling.

After all, deities cannot be killed; in 998 worlds, no way was found to kill a god, and this round was no different.

“Oh, don’t be so final. Do you really not want to bring them back?” Thor smirked.

“I will find my own way,” Chen Ke said.

“I don’t see you coming up with any ideas. I only see you cozying up to this little beauty, wasting away time in a lakeside cabin, possessing grand power yet making decisions only mortals would make. Is this your idea of finding a way?” Thor mocked.

Chen Ke had no response; the black stone in his heart was also silent. It had been quiet for a long time, always in a state of unusability. Presently, Chen Ke, never mind deities, couldn’t even deal with a Clan.

“I want to find my daughter, and as it happens, your witches are also in their hands, we can join forces…” Thor said.

“You’re a god. The Foundation shouldn’t have a way to fight you, so why do you need me? Besides, I’m not on great terms with your daughter,” Chen Ke said.

“Even deities cannot do everything. But you can. Moreover, my daughter’s relationship with you has nothing to do with my relationship with you,” Thor said.

“The way you gods view things is really quite generous,” Sleery commented while wiping her mouth.

Thor looked at Sleery and asked, “What’s your name? Little beauty?”

“She has nothing to do with you,” Chen Ke reiterated.

“Hahaha… Too bad there’s no booze here. Honestly, I would love to see how capable you are, but right now, rescuing people is crucial, so are we just going to dawdle here or—” Thor pointed upwards.

Chen Ke looked back at Sleery, then asked Thor, “Can you go to the year 2137?”

“I command the lightning that spans the Nine Realms, and Lightning will form the Rainbow Bridge, transporting us to any point in time, but I can’t say where we might end up in other eras,” Thor replied.

Chen Ke fell silent for a while; he didn’t trust that Thor was sincerely cooperating with him—it could just be another trap.

But Diana and Lucina were still in 2137. After half a year, he didn’t know what they would have suffered at the hands of the Foundation. If Thor’s Rainbow Bridge could send them to any point in time, then the half-year time difference wouldn’t be a problem.

“On the Rainbow Bridge, I will explain everything, but for now, make up your mind!” Thor urged.

Sleery seemed reluctant; she didn’t want Diana and Lucina to return.

She wanted to possess Chen Ke and had no interest in the fate he was constantly mulling over. Parker knew he could only be a third wheel here, so he chose to stay by Li Moyang’s side. In the half year since losing her father, Sleery had felt happiness; Chen Ke had filled the place of her family, and she had taken possession of Chen Ke—that was what she wanted.

“It’s not a hard choice, is it?” Chen Ke said as he looked at Thor, then at Sleery, speaking slowly.

“I knew you would say that. I’ll wait for you outside.” Thor smiled, pushed the door open, and walked out.

Sleery grabbed Chen Ke’s arm, her expression revealing her thoughts.

“You’re hesitating. I know what you’re thinking,” Chen Ke said.

“Isn’t this good? A small family, a peaceful life,” Sleery whispered.

“Without them, this family is incomplete,” Chen Ke shook his head.

Chen Ke changed into a suit, and Sleery got dressed as well. Thor had been waiting by the lake for a long time, tapping his watch impatiently, then he pointed at Sleery.

“I can only take one person with me,” Thor said.

Sleery looked at Chen Ke with a surprised expression and questioned Thor: “Are you joking with me?”

“I would love to make a joke, little Witch, but my Lightning can only take one,” Thor shook his head.

“If that’s the case, then how will you bring them back?” Sleery asked further.

“I never said I would bring them all back, he and his little Witches will have to figure it out themselves,” Thor laughed.

Chen Ke didn’t really care; as long as he visited 2137 once, he could open the Teleportation Gate at will and didn’t want to have anything more to do with Thunder God Thor.

“You wait here; I’ll open a gate from there to bring you over,” Chen Ke told Sleery.

“Be safe…” Sleery hugged Chen Ke, looking worried.

“If you’re done with your goodbye ceremony, it’s time for us to leave,” Thor said.

Chen Ke patted Sleery’s shoulder and then stood next to Thor.

“Have your little Witch move back a bit,” Thor prompted further.

Sleery had to retreat further back, then she watched as a circle of blue Lightning patterns emerged beneath Chen Ke and Thor’s feet, electric currents scurrying on the ground, and the surrounding charges crackling loudly, causing Sleery’s hair to nearly stand on end.

“Don’t move, it’s your first time; you might feel a bit dizzy,” Thor said, smiling.

At that moment, thunder rolled, and in the red sky, dark clouds churned with blue electric light. Suddenly, a white colossal current came striking down from the heavens, aiming precisely at where the two stood.

With a loud crackling snap, Sleery’s vision turned into a blinding white, as if she’d been flash-blinded, and with her eyes closed, she could still see a dark afterimage. The wind howled in her ears, and the trees by the lake rustled wildly in the Gale. She wrapped herself in a Magic Shield, then opened her eyes to look—Chen Ke and Thor had already vanished without a trace.
