Cindy tried to justify her position, but was abruptly cut off.
"Who gave you the authority to fire the assistant to the design director? The people I sign can only be managed by me. Likewise, the people she brings in can only be managed by her."
Justin Battleson chimed in mercilessly, leaving Cindy without a rebuttal, utterly humiliated.
Cindy stood still, speechless and embarrassed.
