"Okay, this is why we can’t have nice things! What on the goddess’s green earth is your problem?!" Mrs Horton shielded the students from the explosion, preventing all of them from getting hurt.
Addison and Abigail clutched their heads, a ringing sound buzzing in their ears as they stood up. Looking around, they saw that they had destroyed the arena, or at least most of it, and they had caused a lot of damage.
Addison did not care about any of that and looked to see where Jin was. When she saw that he was still in the arena, the part that survived, she grinned.
"Looks like this is your loss."
Angela scoffed and walked off.
"Because of your recklessness, you two will have detention for a month. Every day after your schedule ends, you will report to my office, where I will give you an annoying task to complete that will make you wish you respected the institute’s property."
"I understand, Mrs Horton." Addison nodded.
"Whatever." Angela didn’t believe that she should be punished, but she had no say in this matter and could only suck it up.
"Jin!"
"Yes, Ma’am?"
"Good job. You performed excellently as usual, and I’m impressed by your skills. You will make a great guardian." She patted him on the shoulder.
"Thank you. I will...try my best to meet your expectations going forward."
"Hahaha! Good, good. I like your energy."
’I don’t. I could be home now, playing video games, cooking lunch or dinner, sleeping, or doing something other than being here. Dammit.’
"Good work, everyone. You will be given your schedules tomorrow, and at the end of the month, you will learn what your extracurricular activity will be. You may have the rest of the day off. Dismissed."
Jin wasted no time and headed back to his room. He didn’t wanna talk to anyone, didn’t wanna put numbers in his phone that he would delete later, nor did he want to hear the praises of his fellow men.
Then again, the boys might be praying for his downfall with the looks of disgust they were giving him.
When he entered his room, he closed and locked his door, then started meditating.
’Since I have the rest of the day off, I can spend this time getting stronger. I don’t have a moment to waste.’
Jin loved meditating. It calmed his mind, allowed him to feel the smooth flow of energy through his body, and it was very relaxing.
However, twenty minutes into his meditation, someone knocked at his door.
’Ugh! Who could it be?’ Jin wasn’t at the level where he could determine who a person was by using his senses. He needed to become stronger than he currently was to do that.
However, he assumed it was one of the jealous boys who didn’t like the fact that Jin was getting close to Addison.
With that mindset, he opened the door, fully expecting a group of angry boys to berate him.
"What the hell do you.....want?" Jin was met with boobs in his face and had to look up to see who was at his door.
"Addison? What the hell are you doing here?"
"Can I come in?" She asked
"No." Jin answered.
"..."
"..."
"What?"
"Are you really not going to let me in?"
"Why should I? You can tell me what you need to tell me right here. Besides, people will think I’m a whore." He didn’t care if people thought that of him, though. All he would hear is that he got bitches while everyone who complained didn’t.
"You don’t seem like the type of person to care about what others think."
"Oh wow, spot on. Want a cookie for guessing my personality correctly?"
Addison let herself in, pushing past Jin, who was still leaning on his doorknob.
"Or you could let yourself in, yeah." He closed his door.
"I did my research on you after our little encounter." Addison was lying on Jin’s bed as if she owned it.
"And?" Jin just sat down on the edge of his bed and pulled out his phone.
"Huh, I expected you to be a bit more annoyed after hearing that I ran a background check on you."
"What’s there to be upset about? Wow, you found out my parents died and I was taken in by my mother’s best friend because my only living grandparents didn’t want me—even though I’m their only grandchild."
"You don’t seem bothered by that either."
"Would you like me to ball my eyes out because of how neglected I feel?"
Addison cleared her throat before continuing. "I read your files—you were, and still are, an outstanding student. Always top of your class, with high IQ scores, a martial arts expert, and incredible critical thinking. Even today, your fight was impressive."
"What are you getting at? You’re a rich kid, so you’re probably going to offer me something, so get to the point." Jin was used to her kind, and as in her kind, he meant people with money.
He used to be like that in some of his past lives as well. So maybe he was a part of her kind, in spirit at least.
Addison looked him straight in the eyes and spoke with a straight face. "Marry me."
"Of course you want to sponsor me....I’m sorry, what now?" Jin had to make sure he heard her correctly. He even rubbed his ears to make sure nothing was blocking the sound coming into them.
"I want you to marry me. Someone like you will be a great addition to my family. Normally, I wouldn’t reach out to a guy like this, but you’re simply too remarkable to overlook."
"Shouldn’t you give me flowers first, or at least take me on a date?"
"I thought about those things, but I thought being direct would be the best approach when it came to you."
She wasn’t wrong. Jin liked direct women. This was even better in this world since women acted like men from his world.
’Now that I’m thinking about it, because I still act like myself from Earth, maybe that’s why it’s so easy for me to be close to women without even trying. Huh? The more you know.’

"No wonder you don’t mind when Angela bullies you."
"That’s...not fully the reason why I let her bully me, but you’re half right." Jin had no shame.
"I see. So I just need to get to know you better, and you will marry me. I will see you around, Jin." She got up and left.
"Sure. Wait, no, no! That’s not what I...mean...and she’s gone. Fuck my life."
