“Rita, you did well, exceptionally well indeed!” Olinwen said through gritted teeth as he looked at her.
Acknowledging the complete failure of her actions, Rita lifted her head and smirked scornfully at Olinwen, “I am not a coward like you. If I love something, I go and fight for it! If I had your strength, I would never have let her fall into someone else’s hands.”
Olinwen looked down at her, “Even if it goes against her will, and she hates you for a lifetime?”
Rita’s expression changed, then she sneered, “That’s still better than not getting anything at all.”
Olinwen, looking down from above, said, “The bloodline and honor bestowed upon me by the Malkawi Clan make me disdain to commit such despicable and low actions.”
“Your actions are unworthy of the Malkawi Family’s bloodline; I will take back the bloodline granted to you.”
As soon as he finished speaking, an obvious change occurred in Rita.
Her delicate skin rapidly shriveled and dried, her glossy red hair instantly turned snow white and dull, and within just a few seconds, she transformed from a vibrant young woman into a decrepit old crone on the verge of death.
“This… this isn’t me, this isn’t me!” Rita nearly screamed when she saw this transformation.
“This is you. Without the bloodline I conferred to you, you are nothing,” Olinwen said, no longer sparing her a glance as he turned and walked away.
Without the eternal life ability of the Blood Clan, this woman would not live much longer.
“What happened to her?” Olinwen asked as he approached Lancelot.
“She’s asleep,” the other replied curtly.
Olinwen looked carefully at Gu Shengyin, “She was forcefully awakened during her weakened and slumber phase and engaged in a fight. This time, her sleep might be indefinitely prolonged until her strength is fully restored.”
Lancelot picked her up, “It doesn’t matter, I have plenty of time to wait for her to wake up.”
Olinwen watched him carry her away, and after a long while, he withdrew his gaze, laughed self-deprecatingly, and resignedly went about cleaning up the aftermath.
