Time Travel: The Heroine Has Arrived! Chapter 227

Chapter 226: Chapter 226: Autistic Piano Prodigy VS Part-Time Tutor (Part 23) Chapter 226: Chapter 226: Autistic Piano Prodigy VS Part-Time Tutor (Part 23) Yang Huiying had come to the mall to buy some necessities.

She never imagined she would run into an acquaintance here.

Tang Zhongyi, the man who first made a lasting impression in her heart and whom she had been forcibly trying to forget over the past year, unexpectedly appeared in such a place.

There was a girl standing next to him, Gu Shengyin was with her back to her, so Yang Huiying didn’t recognize her immediately.

Subconsciously, she also thought that Ning Zhao would not possibly be here.

However, when Tang Qian excitedly pulled Gu Shengyin along, chattering away, and she turned around with a laugh, Yang Huiying saw her clearly.

Wasn’t Ning Zhao autistic? Couldn’t she handle stimulation or meet strangers? Hadn’t her condition worsened after Yang Huiying had informed her parents of their death?

So who was this girl, who seemed so at ease, laughing amidst the bustling crowd?

Yang Huiying felt indignant, having paid the price of distancing herself from the Tang Family, yet Ning Zhao seemed unaffected.

She felt like a shameful peeping-tom, silently following them from behind, watching them enter those luxury stores she herself wouldn’t even dare dream of, observing their intimate camaraderie.

It wasn’t until Tang Qian started complaining about hunger that they all went into a dessert shop.

Yang Huiying followed suit and took a seat next to theirs, concealed by two large potted plants between the two tables.

“Hello, what would you like to order?” the waiter asked with a smile.

Yang Huiying glanced at the menu and casually pointed to an item.

She didn’t know why she was following them, but something in her heart was pulling at her, compelling her to watch the girl she was so jealous of with a masochistic fascination as she smiled in joy.

Of course, Gu Shengyin knew that Yang Huiying was seated right behind her, and it presented her with an opportunity.

She reached into the white rabbit-shaped bag she carried and pulled out her phone, and without anyone noticing, a sheet of white paper slipped out unintentionally, landing right under the table where Yang Huiying was seated.

“Don’t play with your phone while eating,” Tang Zhongyi said helplessly, yet dotingly looked at her.

Gu Shengyin stuck out her tongue at him and then opened the game app without hesitation.

After all, the man was all talk; he wouldn’t really take away her phone and make her unhappy.

Only Yang Huiying noticed the sheet of paper.

She took a glance, it was covered with dense markings, seemingly a piece of sheet music?

Without a visible reaction, she picked up the sheet and tucked it inside her handbag, her heartbeat quickening.

“Miss, here’s your coffee,” the waiter’s voice brought her back to reality.

She stirred the coffee in her cup absentmindedly until Tang Zhongyi and his companions finished their snacks and left; the contents of her cup had grown cold.

She couldn’t bring herself to follow them this time and instead rushed back to her own small dwelling, even forgetting her original intention to shop.

Once the door was securely locked, she carefully took out the piece of paper and began to examine it slowly.

The more she looked, the faster her heart raced.

She was certain that this piece of music was not a known masterpiece, and it was entirely handwritten with many corrections marked.

There was no doubt about the composer’s talent, and having witnessed Ning Zhao’s piano talent, and considering it had fallen from Ning Zhao’s bag, Yang Huiying was almost certain that this music score was very likely Ning Zhao’s own creation.
