“I’ll talk with your mom. You all go back to your rooms,” Father Cheng looked somewhat exhausted.

“Mmm, I believe in you,” Cheng Yiru snuggled sweetly into Yuen Hang’s embrace.
“Big Brother Yuen, where are you secretly taking me?” Gu Shengyin sat in the passenger seat, looking askance at Yuan Xu.
Today, Yuan Xu had unusually shed his suit for casual clothes, making one realize that he was just a young man in his twenties.
“Taking you to a special place!” Yuan Xu replied with a mysterious smile.
About half an hour later, just as Gu Shengyin was about to doze off, she heard Yuan Xu say, “We’re here.”
As Shengyin got out of the car, the beautiful landscape immediately caught her eye. Vast patches of unknown flowering plants bloomed all around, making one feel as if they were in another world.
“This is a private hot springs resort owned by a foreign friend of mine. It never opens to outsiders,” Yuan Xu said, pleased by the look of admiration in Shengyin’s eyes.
“Welcome, lovely lady!” As soon as Shengyin entered, she was engulfed in a warm embrace.
Yuan Xu pulled the person away with a dark face: “Richard, don’t mess around.”
The handsome foreign man winked playfully at Cheng Xizhi: “Hey! Xu said he was bringing a cute girl, and I guessed it had to be you. Just as beautiful as a Barbie doll, what’s your name, adorable girl?”
Yuan Xu pulled Gu Shengyin by the hand and walked inside, ignoring the fellow called Richard.
“Hey! Hey! Xu, you can’t just forget the bridge after crossing the river. I came here especially for you…” Yuan Xu shut the sliding door behind him with a slap, leaving Richard’s exasperated voice behind.
“Don’t mind him, he’s always this noisy,” Yuan Xu told Gu Shengyin.
“The hot springs here are exceptional. You can take your time to enjoy. Everything you’ll need is clean and sterilized, so you can use them with confidence. I’ll be next door, just call me if you need anything,” Yuan Xu instructed Gu Shengyin.
Seeing Gu Shengyin nod to indicate she understood, Yuan Xu left with a trace of regret.
“Hey, Xu, with such a beautiful girl soaking in the hot springs, you actually came here to hang out with a strapping man like me. You really don’t know romance!” Richard looked at Yuan Xu disdainfully, then added quite proudly, “Hasn’t my Mandarin improved a lot?”
Yuan Xu naturally ignored the latter remark, sparing Richard a glance: “Xi Xi is still underage. Do I look that deplorable to you?”
“Wow!” Richard looked at Yuan Xu in horror. “I never thought you were like that, Xu! To make a move on an underage girl! God, this world is terrifying!”
Yuan Xu disregarded his friend’s habitual absurdity: “She will be my future wife, my only partner.”
Richard’s expression turned serious: “Are you for real, Xu?”
Yuan Xu smiled slightly: “Of course.”
Richard snapped his fingers: “Then I wish you happiness.”
“That’s a certainty,” Yuan Xu smiled confidently.
