Gu Shengyin walked on the main street.
People of all shapes and colors passed by her side.
"Madam, weren’t we here to stroll the streets?" Shiao Shiao was somewhat puzzled.
Madam had taken her out today, and she thought it was to buy something.
Yet, Madam had insisted on dragging her around the main street all morning without buying a single item.
Gu Shengyin smiled, "Your madam, I came out today to truly ’stroll’ the streets."
Indeed, she wanted to see what kind of lives people in this world, especially women, were leading, what they pursued, and what they needed.
Shiao Shiao looked at her madam with some confusion; she did not understand the meaning of this statement.
Isn’t strolling the streets just about buying things?
Gu Shengyin looked at her puzzled expression and laughed, "Let’s go, after strolling all morning, I’ll take you to a big meal."
Shiao Shiao perked up at this, "Thank you, Madam."
The two headed toward the nearby renowned Cloud City Delicacy House.
Suddenly, a cry of alarm came from behind: "Thief!"
Gu Shengyin turned around and saw a skinny man in a black leather jacket and a duckbill cap, clutching a lady’s handbag and running towards her.
He seemed somewhat frantic, and the madam whose bag was snatched had servants chasing after her as well.
Gu Shengyin, along with Shiao Shiao, stepped aside, and as the skinny man passed by her, she gently stretched out her leg.
"Plop"—the skinny man directly fell face-first into the mud.
This fall was indeed not light.
The skinny man quickly got up, seeing that the people chasing him had already reached his side, he guessed he could not escape.
His expression turned ferocious, and he decided not to run. He did not even bother to pick up the handbag that had fallen on the ground but charged straight at Gu Shengyin.

Someone acknowledged the order, and soon two men in military uniforms came over and took the skinny man away.
The man seemed to have been scared senseless at the sight of the gunman, offering no resistance as he was taken away.
After handling the situation, the man lifted his leg and turned to leave.
From the moment he fired the shot, he hadn’t glanced in Gu Shengyin’s direction even once.
Gu Shengyin watched his retreating figure, deep in thought.
"Madam, are you alright? That really scared me to death!" Shiao Shiao finally came to her senses and seeing the blood on Gu Shengyin’s clothes, began to exclaim in shock and surprise.
