"Call me Augustus, Angela, I thought we were already friends." Augustus revealed a somewhat melancholic smile.

The hope in Augustus’s eyes dimmed, but he had already anticipated this; Angela did not like him.
He pulled out a smile, "There’s nothing to be sorry about, Angela, this is something that needs to be mutual."
Gu Shengyin appreciated his magnanimity.
Little did she know Augustus would continue, "If I’m not mistaken, Angela, you don’t have a boyfriend, right? In that case, can I sign up, so when you feel like having a romantic relationship, you’ll consider me?"
He smiled at Gu Shengyin, saying, "I promise, I won’t pester you or cause you any trouble. But, Angela, I probably won’t be able to let go of you for a while. If you do get a boyfriend, make sure to tell me straight away, so I can give up."
This man was simply so candid it made him hard to refuse.
Gu Shengyin sighed, she had no intention of having any superfluous relationships with the people from these mission worlds.
"I’m very sorry, Augustus."
If it was never meant to be, better to extinguish his hopes right from the start.

He shrugged his shoulders, his face breaking into a beaming smile, yet Gu Shengyin saw a tinge of sadness in his eyes.
"Come on, join me in this drink." Augustus smiled at her, "Now don’t reject me again, comfort the heart of this old man who’s just had his heart broken."

She lifted her glass and clinked it gently with his, "Augustus, if you’re willing, there are countless wonderful girls in the world waiting to have a romantic relationship with you."
Augustus smiled briefly but said nothing.
