"Host, are you really going to do this?" The host felt a tinge of sadness, this was too cruel.

He suddenly became tender, his eyes unwaveringly fixed on Gu Shengyin, as if he feared she would disappear the moment he blinked.
"It seems heaven is still kind to me. My only wish now is to see you before I die, to tell you in person that I’m sorry."
Gu Shengyin watched him in silence, then suddenly said, "You’re not going to die."
She suddenly flashed a smile at Yu Wenrui. "I hate you, I wish I could end your life with my own hands. But when I found out you were really about to die..."
She placed a hand over her chest. "It really hurts here."
Yu Wenrui’s eyes twitched, and it seemed like he understood something.
His voice trembling, he spoke to Gu Shengyin. "You Lan, listen to me, Yu Wenrui’s predicament today is all self-inflicted; I deserve it, I’m sorry. The kindness I showed you before was all fake and insincere..."
"I know." Gu Shengyin quietly looked at him with a smile, tears falling as she did so.

"So, Yu Wenrui, you have to, you must live on..." she said faintly, and before Yu Wenrui’s eyes, she plunged her hand, which had been on her chest, deep into herself without hesitation.
There was no splattering of blood, just a white flower the size of a fist appearing in her hand.
That flower was exactly like her appearance before she had shape-shifted.

Tears flowed from his eyes, filled with alarming veins of blood, as he watched the white flower turn into specks of white light, flying towards him and disappearing into his body.
The body, which had always felt weak and powerless, was suddenly filled with strength, as if he had been reborn.
But Yu Wenrui couldn’t care about that anymore, his eyes wide open as he watched the person in front of him turn, her jet-black hair turning white from the roots, her complexion fading from rosy to pale, to the point of translucence.
Sometime when he didn’t realize it, he had regained the ability to move. He tried everything to get close to her, but no matter how hard he tried, he could never quite reach her.
"Goodbye, Yu Wenrui," she said softly to him.
Yu Wenrui’s eyes suddenly snapped open.
