Gu Shengyin went back and found Mr. and Mrs. An.
"You’re moving out?" Mrs. An was somewhat surprised.
"Yeah," Shengyin said softly, "I plan to rent a room next to the school. That way, I won’t waste too much time commuting and can save some time for studying." Of course, she couldn’t say that they were sick of each other; she needed to find a plausible excuse.
She looked at Mrs. An’s expression and added, "My scholarship is enough to cover the rent."
Just as she had expected, Mrs. An immediately agreed upon hearing that it wouldn’t cost her own money.
In the evening, in the An family’s bedroom.
Mr. An’s voice was hesitant, "Yu Feng, are we being too harsh on Qinyu? After all, we’ve raised her for so many years. Our affection for her... isn’t inferior to that for our own child, right?"
Mrs. An’s voice turned cold, "She is not my Qinyu. Like you said, we’ve raised her for over ten years, provided for her food, and her clothing; we’ve done everything we should."
Mr. An sighed and didn’t argue with his wife.
He always felt guilty towards Qinyu; she should have been a noble lady, living with a wealthy family, but ended up being raised by them. Even so, neither he nor his wife had ever given her the familial love she deserved.
He wanted to compensate her, but every time he brought it up, Yu Feng would get angry, and over time, he stopped mentioning it.
The next day happened to be a day off, and Shengyin, without any delay, carried her luggage and moved out.
When she finished school that day, backpack on her shoulder at the school gate, she saw Song Yi again.
This time he had driven a car, and Shengyin watched as Song Tian happily got into the vehicle. Clearly, he had come to pick up his sister from school.

She wanted to get closer to him, but always felt that her brother kept his distance from everyone, including herself.
Their relationship wasn’t as close as others perceived it to be.
However, she still muttered softly, "I heard their family is pretty average, and that An Qinyu isn’t liked by her parents; her parents have never even been to a single parent-teacher meeting." These were all gossip she heard from those around her.
Hearing this, Song Yi thought of the girl’s faint smile and frowned slightly.
Could there be parents who don’t like their own daughter? And a daughter who is both outstanding and beautiful at that?
