They didn’t say much, only asked if they had fun today and similar questions, before letting them go to rest.
Both Father Song and Mother Song noticed today that in the heart of their eldest son, this newly returned sister held a much higher status than Song Tian.

After Gu Shengyin bathed and returned to her room with wet hair, she hadn’t started drying it when she heard a knock at the door.

"You child, why is your hair still wet?" Mother Song said with affectionate reproach upon seeing Gu Shengyin’s dripping hair.
Shengyin instinctively explained, "I just came out of the bath and haven’t had the chance to dry it yet."
She even gestured towards the hair dryer she had just found.
Mother Song walked over to grab the hair dryer and asked her to sit on a chair, "I’ll do it."
Shengyin obediently sat down, feeling a gentle hand holding her hair and moving it around.
She was probably aware of the reason for Mother Song’s visit. Everyone knew that what happened today had, in truth, upset Gu Shengyin the most.
The mother and daughter refrained from thinking about it for the moment, savoring this rare moment of warmth.
Once her hair was dry, Mother Song set aside the items in her hands and sat down beside Gu Shengyin.

However, she couldn’t express such feelings in front of Mother Song. An Qinyu was not Song Tian; she hadn’t, like her, grown up carefree in such a family. Such impulsive and direct complaints were not something she could voice.
Mother Song knew too well the pain in her daughter’s heart. With a sigh, she reached out to embrace Gu Shengyin, "Your father and I have discussed it, and once Tiantian’s leg injury heals, we will send her back to her own home. The An Family must be missing their daughter as well."
Gu Shengyin lay quietly and obediently in her embrace, and it was a long time before she hummed softly in response.
