In a year’s time, Ovis had officially entered adulthood. His body rapidly stretched upward, his previously slender frame began to bulk up, and his face became more handsome and deep-set. Under the sunshine, his brilliant golden hair emitted a dazzling glow.
The charm of the Golden Lion started to manifest in him, and Gu Shengyin had seen more than once that females from the Owl Clan had given him suggestive looks.
But Ovis was no longer that inexperienced little lion. He could enchant someone with a bewitching smile, only to utter cruel words of rejection immediately after, not giving anyone the slightest hope.

"Lord Wu Luo," came Ovis’s deep and alluring voice.
Gu Shengyin allowed him to enter.
As the tall and handsome man walked through the door, Gu Shengyin felt the entire room seem to brighten instantly.
He always unabashedly exuded his masculine charm; his dark gold eyes, when they rested on someone, seemed forever sharp and aggressive.
For others, such a gaze would be off-putting, but Ovis’s powerful presence made it so that others would only feel oppressed and tense under his stare.
However, it was clear that Gu Shengyin didn’t fall into that category.
"What is it?" she asked.
Ovis nodded his head, his eyes focused on her: "Tonight, I want to challenge Lord Tamon."
In his eyes burned a fierce determination and passion, an ambition that could not be quenched.
Gu Shengyin was hardly surprised; in fact, she found it incredible that Ovis had been able to hold back for so long.
"Beating Tamon is not difficult for you at this point," she said.
Upon hearing this, Ovis chuckled softly, his gaze peculiar as he looked at Gu Shengyin: "Lord Wu Luo, if I win against Lord Tamon tonight and become the first warrior of the Owl Clan, could you grant me a request?"
Gu Shengyin glanced at him and replied calmly, "You’re asking for a prize for a task without any challenge?"
Her straightforward response, albeit unflattering, made Ovis laugh. Lord Wu Luo was impeccable in front of everyone, always cool and polite, and yet now she began to offer small complaints about himself.
In her eyes, was he somehow different from the others?
Ovis felt as if his heart was a clear pool of water, and Lord Wu Luo’s words were like a stone cast into it, rippling endlessly.
He couldn’t help but reach out to cover his chest, already... finding it more and more difficult to control the impulses deep within.
