The living room was so silent that not a single sound could be heard.
Mason Nightshade held his phone in both hands, staring at it without blinking. Half an hour had passed, and the servants silently wondered if the young master was lost in thought. Otherwise, how could someone sit there unmoving for half an hour?
The butler hesitated whether to go over and ask a question.
Suddenly, Mason Nightshade stood up, grabbed his coat, draped it over his shoulders, and walked out. As he passed by the dining room, he paused, glanced into the kitchen—a few untouched plates of leftovers on the counter caught his eye. They looked familiar, suddenly reminding him of the dishes from the table last night.

Mason Nightshade's heart ached with a sudden pang of heartache.
The butler saw the young master staring in one direction, and following his gaze, he understood immediately what the young master was thinking and said, "After Young Master left last night, Young Madam didn't eat a single bite before going upstairs to eat. Young Madam spent the whole afternoon preparing the dinner in the kitchen. Even I was surprised; I didn't expect someone who usually doesn't cook to be so skilled."
"What did you say?" Mason Nightshade turned to look at the butler.

"Which part are you asking about, sir?"
"The dishes on the table yesterday, Aurelia cooked them herself?" Mason Nightshade asked.
"Yes, Young Madam cooked them. She went into the kitchen as soon as she got back yesterday, not allowing the servants to help, and prepared the entire meal herself," the butler replied, realizing why Mason Nightshade was asking this.

He might not love this woman, but he would certainly feel touched by the things she silently did for him.
If the young master's feelings towards Young Madam weren't clear after working here for so many years, it would all be in vain.
