Aurelia Shaw walked over, peering through the peephole to check outside, not seeing anyone, she further scanned left and right, still not finding him.
Aurelia pondered for a moment, her hand gripping the door handle, gently opening a crack to glimpse outside, seeing no shadow.
Could he really have left?
She pulled the door open, stepping into the empty corridor, gazing around.
Unexpectedly, there wasn't even a tiny bit of loss felt.
She knew early on that he wouldn't truly wait outside all night, even if he did, so what? The hurt she endured couldn't be remedied; she'd never fall for him again.
Aurelia turned to go back inside, noticing blood dried on the wall.

The door to another bedroom opened, Ursa Miller emerged with dark circles under her eyes.
She didn't sleep well all night; knowing the Young Master was just outside the wall, standing in the cold corridor waiting, made it impossible for her to sleep comfortably in the warm bed.
