Aurelia Shaw scrutinized the face before her closely. The corners of the eyes bore many wrinkles, yet the complexion was serene, with no sign of murkiness in the eyes, exuding a warmth that softened one's heart.
It had been years since she'd seen such a calm and uncalculating ordinary face.
"I've never seen you in this house before," Aurelia said. Although her mind was sometimes muddled, making it hard to recall certain things, she remembered clearly what every servant in this house looked like.
The housekeeper bent slightly and smiled as she said, "Young Madam, I just arrived here yesterday, so it's normal you haven't seen me."
