He was wearing a black silk robe, its tie loosely knotted at the waist, the robe slightly open, revealing the taut muscles that disappeared into his abdomen, his wet black hair clinging to his forehead, water droplets trickling down along the strands.
Aurelia Shaw didn't even lift her head.
Whether she didn't hear him come out or was intentionally ignoring him was uncertain.
Her radiant face was hidden in the glow of the phone screen, her delicate brows slightly furrowed, her gaze keen and focused on the phone screen, entranced by something unknown, her almond-shaped eyes didn't blink once, her slender fingers manipulating the screen, gently sliding upward.
Mason Nightshade's eyes darkened a little, his gaze drifted from her face to her feet.
Her pinkish toes curled together, their owner seriously contemplating the emotions of the characters, yet the toes would occasionally tense and relax, lively and mischievous.
Mason Nightshade's heart stirred, suddenly he turned and walked back into the bathroom.
Aurelia Shaw continued watching the computer screen, entirely unaware of Mason Nightshade's movements.
After a moment, Mason Nightshade emerged from the bathroom.
Carrying a tray, he walked straight to the bedside.
Aurelia Shaw was engrossed in what she was watching when her feet suddenly were grabbed, before she could react, warm water enveloped her feet, and a pair of large hands wrapped around her feet, holding them in his palms, gently stirring the hot water.
Aurelia Shaw frowned, "Mason Nightshade, what are you doing?"
She spoke, trying to withdraw her feet.
Mason Nightshade held her feet, pressed them into the water, splashing hot water over them, meticulously washing her feet, his magnetic voice low in his throat, "Don't move."
"You're washing my feet?!" Aurelia Shaw was incredulous.
Mason Nightshade raised his eyebrows, looking at her, "Is that hard to understand?"
What's more difficult to understand is what he's thinking.
"Don't you want to ask me anything?" Aurelia Shaw asked him.
"No." Mason Nightshade answered decisively.
"I was the one who injured those three." Aurelia Shaw ignored his deliberate avoidance of the topic, straightforwardly said, "Do you think I'm cruel? Well then, let me tell you, this is my true nature. As for insults, they indeed insulted me, there are better ways to handle it, but I prefer this bloody and cruel method."
"If you're looking for a gentle, docile wife, you picked the wrong person, so I repeat, let's get divorced."
Mason Nightshade acted as if he hadn't heard her, lowering his head, busy with his hands, after washing, he placed her feet on his lap, carefully drying them.
He lifted his head, his deep, dark eyes meeting hers, spoke deeply, "My answer remains the same, divorce, don't even think about it!"
Mason Nightshade's throat constricted, gazing into her beautiful eyes, those three words threatened to escape his lips, but her face suddenly showed a mocking smile.
"Don't joke, you don't love me at all, you just never saw this side of me, I've suddenly become cold towards you, you feel insecure, just unaccustomed to it."
"Hmm... How does one train a dog again?" She tilted her head in thought, the curve of her lips sharp enough to cut one's heart, "Slap it, then give it a treat, then slap it again."
"But, the one in front of you isn't a dog, it's a wolf, a wolf that eats meat and drinks blood."
Aurelia Shaw's vermilion lips smiled deeper, her almond-shaped eyes cold as ice, she laughed, "Keep me around, be careful one day I might end up devouring you, too."
