Aurelia Shaw smiled coldly.
There were no outsiders here, yet Jovana Shaw was still putting on an act. She truly deserved praise for her dedication and acting skills. Thanks to the superb acting of those around her, she was able to hone such advanced skills.
"Mason Nightshade doesn’t know how to tie a tie, go in and help him with it." Aurelia casually grabbed a tie from the coat rack, tossed it into Jovana’s arms, curled her lips, gave her a proud sideways glance, and turned to head downstairs.
Her arrogant demeanor made Jovana rather displeased, as she was waiting for the show to unfold. How could she just let her leave like that?
Reaching out, she grabbed Aurelia’s arm and asked fearfully and puzzled, "Should... should I go tie the tie for brother-in-law? I... I can’t do that. Doesn’t sister know how to tie a tie?"
Aurelia sneered. Even at such a moment, Jovana didn’t forget to dig a hole for her. She was truly a dedicated good sister.
"Do I look like I know how to tie a tie?" Aurelia sneered, looking at her with arrogance and disdain, "Hmph, such a lowly task, I wouldn’t bother dirtying my hands with it."
Wasn’t she the spoiled, bossy eldest daughter? Then she’d act spoiled and bossy enough for her to see.
Jovana’s face contorted unpleasantly, a flicker of disdain passing through her eyes.
A lowly task? Was she implying that she was lowly?
Hmph, foolish woman, still thinking of herself as the eldest daughter! The only reason mother indulged you all these years was to turn you into a waste. Go on being pampered and arrogant, and slowly become useless. When Mason Nightshade and father can’t bear you any longer, they’ll mercilessly abandon you like a rag doll tossed into a dirty, dark corner.
By then, you can only cry helplessly.
You will kneel lowly before me, begging for my words to father, pleading for my scraps of affection.
"Tying a tie is actually quite simple, and a wife tying a tie for her husband is a symbol of love. Look, you wrap it , then fold this over; it’s very easy to tie," Jovana earnestly instructed.
Her hand didn’t forget to hold tightly onto Aurelia’s arm, her nails nearly digging into Aurelia’s flesh.
Aurelia flung her hand away, disdainfully snorted, "I’ve already said I disdain learning such demeaning tasks. Only lowly inferiors would tie ties for others."
Jovana’s face fluctuated between livid and purple, constantly changing. Suddenly, she saw something and exclaimed in surprise, "Ah! Brother-in-law!"
Thinking of something, Jovana glanced at Aurelia, then at Mason, hurriedly explaining, "Don’t misunderstand, brother-in-law, sister didn’t mean it that way."
Jovana inwardly smiled with satisfaction, her gaze infatuatedly fixed on Mason. Last night, she had seen him in his black silk pajamas, coldly alluring, and noble to the point of being untouchable.
Jovana’s heart fluttered as a restless deer, a faint unusual emotion sprouting within her from last night’s dream. She shyly glanced at Mason from time to time, only then realizing his pajamas were missing a sleeve?!
Hanging loosely and carelessly on him, his chest slightly revealed, cold and alluring. She was dazed, momentarily forgetting what to say.
