"It doesn’t matter!" Aurelia Shaw coldly and arrogantly refused to allow any real revenge to come upon her.
Mason Nightshade narrowed his eyes, "You just bit me."
Did he consider that a bite?
"I’m a person who holds grudges, if someone bites me once, I bite back a hundred times. If someone bites my neck, I’ll bite her all over."
His long fingers lightly caressed the hickey on his neck, his lips curled up evilly, and his eyes suggestively roamed over her.
Aurelia felt a tingling on her scalp and immediately thought of the excuse she used to brush off Jovana Shaw, and promptly said, "I can’t."
"Can’t? That’s easy, I’ll teach you." Mason Nightshade’s lips curled roguishly as he leaned closer to Aurelia, grabbed her hand with his long one, placing it on the tie around his neck, and started teaching her seriously, "First, cross these two sides, then wrap this side around..."
The man’s warm breath sprayed on her face, his strong and warm large palms wrapped around hers, slender fingers instructing her on tying the tie, his face perpetually casual, lips curved in a rakish smile.
Aurelia watched the seemingly complicated but, in fact, very familiar tying method, her heart skipped a beat suddenly. Her face changed, she abruptly withdrew her hand, turned away coolly, and said, "I’ll do it myself."
Finishing her words, she slapped away Mason Nightshade’s hand, and her beautiful slender fingers grabbed the ends of the tie, tightened it roughly yet smoothly. Although the tie was crooked and the shirt was crumpled, from her method, it was apparent, she was skilled at tying ties, and she did it very smoothly, expertly.
When did she learn to tie a tie? And... for whom did she learn?
Mason Nightshade couldn’t help but think of the man in the photograph, wearing a white shirt, no tie, yet it was clear that he would have moments of wearing a tie. Was it for that man that she learned?
Just imagining her standing on her tiptoes, happily tying a tie for another man... A surge of irritation rose within Mason Nightshade’s chest, damn it! Who exactly was that man? Why hadn’t he heard of him in their past life, was he really her first love? The first man she fell for?
Mason Nightshade realized that he was even more petty and narrow-minded than he’d thought; he absolutely didn’t want her thinking of other men, didn’t want her hiding things about another man from him, and didn’t want her to have secrets from him.
"Didn’t you say you couldn’t?" he said irritably, just thinking about her having tied a tie for another man, his mood inexplicably irritable, yet he didn’t want to get angry at her, knowing full well this wasn’t her fault.
"Isn’t self-taught okay?" Aurelia Shaw carelessly said, not paying attention to his reaction.
Mason Nightshade felt a kind of stifling anger with nowhere to vent, and yet the person provoking him had zero awareness of self-reflection.
He extended his long arm, grabbed Aurelia Shaw’s waist, picked her up, and walked out quickly.
Passing by the shoe cabinet, he grabbed the tie he had casually tossed on top of it earlier, and threw it into the trash can.
"Really threw it away?" Aurelia Shaw asked.
She felt it was quite a pity, she remembered the tie was quite expensive, a limited edition, very hard to buy.
"Not throwing it away, would I wear a tie touched by other women every day?" Mason Nightshade countered.
Aurelia Shaw said nothing. Even with her slow reaction, she could tell Mason Nightshade was in a bad mood now, why was this man’s emotions becoming increasingly unpredictable?
