"Hahaha...! Idiot...! You can’t use your Spirit...!"
I remained silent, annoyed, watching the four knights laugh at me.
Initially, I thought Rhaevor would immediately attack and overwhelm the four knights with his physique powers, but I miscalculated.
Since I performed the ’ritual’ with Leysha, I had indeed managed to free Spirit Rhaevor from Leysha’s body and put Rhaevor under my control.
But I forgot to take into account that Rhaevor’s energy was still limited, meaning my ’ritual’ with Leysha was not enough to optimize his capability, leaving him with only enough energy to wake up and escort me here.
"Kill this damn Baron...!" one of the knights shouted.
I stepped back to gain distance, but—
"TWANG!" "TWANG!"
Two arrows shot out, one I dodged, but the other landed in my right shoulder.
Holding back the pain, I took a deep breath, then unleashed a blast of wind that sent the four knights flying, sending them crashing into the dam with a loud scream.
Unfortunately, the blast wasn’t strong enough!
The pain from the arrow distracted my concentration, reducing the force of the blast significantly.
"Damn it! Die you bastard!"
Two knights darted forward, aiming for my neck.
I ducked quickly and then ran past them.
The archer knight drew his bow again, firing an arrow that nearly tore through my back, but for now, I could only run, pushing through the bushes, keeping my distance from them.
I wasn’t just running aimlessly; I was delving into Baron Atreus’s memories of his knowledge on fire magic.
According to his knowledge, the source of fire magic is breath control, so I took a deep breath, letting the fire of magic surge within me, ready to explode.
In just a few seconds, I was ready to—
CLANG!
Suddenly, my body was thrown far away.
I didn’t expect the knight with the mace to be right in front of me, hiding, waiting for me to surprise attack.
The impact of the mace landing hard on my stomach felt like my bones were shattering.
I fell back into the bushes, trying to get up, but I ended up vomiting blood from the intense pain.
In front of me, the two knights with swords had already pointed their blades at my neck, ready to behead me.
"Die, brat!"
In a split second, I took a breath, then threw my hands out, sending a violent Vermillion of fire surging.
WHOOSH!
A Vermillion of fire erupted, sending the two knights with swords flying before they could finish me off.
They immediately rolled around in pain as their armor burned away.
The archer knight immediately let loose his arrow, but was instantly incinerated by the fiery wind that enveloped me.
"Bastards! This wizard who masters various elements is truly annoying! Why don’t you just die already?!" the mace-wielding knight snapped, ranting and cursing at me.
I chuckled at the knights.
"What’s wrong? Are you scared?! Come here if you dare! This hellfire will consume you all!" I shouted confidently.
I saw the knights still circling me, keeping their distance from the fiery whirlwind that was near me.
Even at a considerable distance, the knights felt the intense heat.
My body was crushed, and I couldn’t even move, but at least this fire and wind magic would give me victory.
Now all I have to do is—
’ZAAASSHHHH!’
Damn it.
Suddenly, a heavy rainfall poured down, instantly extinguishing my magical whirlwind of fire and wind.
I had no defense left!
"Hahahahah! Stupid brat! Even the heavens hate to see you win, you damn Wizard!" the archer knight exclaimed, pleased with my sudden pallor.
"Hellfire, you say?! That’s ridiculous! Even the rain extinguishes the hellfire! What an idiot!" the knight with the mace exclaimed, laughing at me.
The two remaining knights came charging at me amidst the pouring rain.
I could feel a strong killing intent, and unfortunately, I couldn’t even crawl away because of my fractured bones.
However, it wasn’t over yet.
From the start, I wasn’t just using fire and wind vortex magic, but also earth magic, which I directed directly at the dam’s spillway.
I moved the ground around the dam with the help of magic, completely sealing the spillway.
With this heavy rain, and with the spillway completely sealed, the water volume immediately increased dramatically.
Even from afar, I could hear the cracking of the logs and branches that formed the foundation of the dam increasingly clearly.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The two knights who were about to finish me off immediately stopped in their tracks when they heard the increasingly loud cracking sound coming from the dam.
Just as they turned around, the dam burst completely.
The floodwaters surged like a tsunami, crashing down on everyone in sight.
"HELP! HELP!! AAHHHK....!"
The knights’ cries were instantly drowned out, swallowed by the torrent of water spilling over the dam.
I too was swept away by the strong current, and from its direction, I knew it was taking me to Vermillion territory.
Holding my breath, my body spun around in the raging waters.
I couldn’t tell which was up, which was down, which was left, which was right.
Even swimming with my own strength felt futile due to my frail condition from the severe injuries.
But I still had hope.
I focused my remaining magical powers on controlling water and wind.
I maneuvered the water to propel myself upward, straight towards the surface.
Amidst the strong current, I forced all my water magic to propel me.
This was a life-or-death gamble.
A glimpse of light appeared after the relentless darkness, and I sensed it signaled the surface of the river.
I unleashed my water magic again, sending me soaring, floating above the surface, and then immediately took a deep breath through my chest, already constricted by the lack of oxygen.
I landed hard on the ground quite far from the river, struggling to stand.
Even breathing hurt!
"Baron Atreus...!"
Ah, amidst the pouring rain, the angel’s voice came from afar, finally drawing nearer.
My vision blurred, perhaps because I was so exhausted.
But at least I could still smile because I could see Leysha in my blurry world.
"I will heal you, Baron Atreus! Don’t worry!"
Leysha’s final cry managed to calm my heart.
Then, my world went completely dark.
