Ling Sheng took the bags out of the trunk one by one. When she turned around, she saw that her father had taken a few bags. Behind him was Xiaoqi, who had also taken a few small bags. They were quite happy as they followed him into the elevator.

Xiaoqi ran around excitedly. He was having fun in the place he was most familiar with. He ran to the balcony to water the vegetable garden and then went to the bedroom and living room, moving as though he had endless energy.
“Grandpa, can I bring my moon lamp over?” Xiaoqi was rushing around in his bedroom as he pointed at the bed. “It can hang there.”
“You’d like that?” Huo Ci looked at him and said, “Go close the door.”
Xiaoqi, who did not know what his grandpa wanted to do, closed the door obediently.
Huo Ci said, “Turn off the lights too.”
Xiaoqi tiptoed over and switched off the lights. Then, he saw a crescent on the roof and many small stars beside it. His eyes lit up. “Grandpa, Grandpa, are you performing magic? It’s so pretty!”
Huo Ci nodded arrogantly. He was really happy. He had just casually made this. He had not spent any effort on it. “Don’t ask me for anything else for Christmas.”
“Grandpa, thank you.” Xiaoqi ran over to hug his thigh and rubbed against it. He was a tender, sweet child. “Xiaoqi likes Grandpa the most.”
Huo Ci let out a low cough and lowered his eyes to look at the child. His lips curled up slightly, and his tone was full of joy. “You bootlicker.”
Ling Sheng, who did not know why the duo had closed the door, knocked. “Xiaoqi, Father, are the two of you asleep?”
