After all the hustle and bustle, Cai Wei found herself somewhat hungry. She ate a few fruits but still felt hungry, so she went down to Lingxi River, caught a half-foot-long salmon, slaughtered and prepared it, then marinated it with oils, salts, and other seasonings before steaming it in a pot.
In her past life, even though she was of considerable worth, she didn’t particularly care about satisfying her culinary desires, as long as she was full, that would suffice. However, her current body had an extreme fondness for delicious food. Perhaps it was because this body was still young, or perhaps because of enduring years of food deprivation, either way, every time she thought of delicious food, she would definitely try to eat it. Once the salmon was steamed, she poured soy sauce over it, cut some fine strips of green onion, ginger, and minced cilantro, and sprinkled red pepper rings on top, then she brought it to the small courtyard’s stone table.
The white, tender fish meat, together with the green onion strips, cilantro, and vibrant red pepper chunks, all soaked in a thick, flavorful soup, was a feast for the eyes, nose and tongue, that made your mouth water at the sight of it.
She picked up a small piece of fish with her chopsticks. From the tearing place, a surge of white steam floated up, carrying the delicious aroma. She dipped the piece of fish in some soup, then put it in her mouth and began to savishly eat.
Mmm, it’s indeed delicious!
She closed her eyes in enjoyment, savoring the delightful taste of the space-produced delicious salmon!
However, just when she was savoring her delicacy, Brother Ying and Chang Mei appeared uninvited. The two shameless fellows surrounded Cai Wei, heavily flattering and fawning over her.
