Yue Chen’s lips trembled slightly as she looked at him with misty eyes. She could not understand why such words were being uttered by him, and no matter how hard she tried to deny it, she felt hurt by his words.
"Brother Huo, do not say that," she sniffed slightly, with her head lowered.
"Brother Huo, you do not understand what I have been through, and this is as a result of my sister’s actions, do you recall me telling you about how scared I am of spiders, I did not tell you how my fear came about," Yue Chen spoke up, without looking at his face.
Huo Feng sat up at her words. Of course, he recalled. He had been curious about why she feared spiders, it seemed today was the day he would finally find out.
"When I was still a kid, I was really fragile," she started out as she rose from the seat.
Huo Feng squinted his eyes at her as he watched her act out at her drama.
"My sister would always scare me with insects even if she was aware I hated it," Yue Chen clenched her fists tightly, it felt as if she was holding back a grudge.
Huo Feng folded his arms as he listened to her speak, he did not know whether he should believe her or not, after all, she had been taking advantage of him ever since he met her.

Huo Feng pursed his lips, while still listening to her.
"There came a time when she pranked me, and it traumatized me, my sister put spiders in my lunch, I ate spiders!" Yue Chen spoke with gritted teeth, she was holding back her annoyance.
"Is that so?" Huo Feng asked, and she snapped her head towards him immediately.
"Is that all you have to say? I was traumatized, do you know how it feels to eat spiders, I could not get the taste out of my mouth for a long time, I had to visit the psychiatrist, and to top it off, she was not remorseful," Yue Chen tried to make him understand?
"I do not believe you," Huo Feng shook his head, silencing her immediately.
"What?" She asked with her eyes widened. Again, she was put off by his apathy.
"Brother Huo, care to repeat what you just said, I believe my hearing had issues, and I could not hear what you said," it was a lie.
She heard what he said perfectly, she was not willing to believe that he did not trust her.
"I said I did not believe you," he repeated it, this time around, with no emotions in his voice.
"Brother Huo, you do not mean this, right?" She chuckled nervously, her hands and lips trembled while she stared at him with tears which were threatening to fall.
"You have always believed me, I doubt that should change just because you married my sister, I am saying the truth, I am traumatized because of my sister," Yue Chen tried to make him understand.
"I am sorry, but I cannot trust you, and if you want me to believe you, I would have to listen to my 𝑤𝑖𝑓𝑒, I cannot believe you without listening to my wife’s side of the story,

Yue Ning who was familiarizing herself with his house, sneezed.
"Who might be thinking about me?" She asked herself as she wiped her nose clean with her sleeves.
’Who would think of you, recall, that you are not loved,’ the system kindly reminded, or rather she mocked her.
"You do not have to remind me of my life, it is tiring," she sighed as she cut the tomato. She was hungry, and in the novel, the previous night, she had gone to bed without eating, just like her in the real world. She was starving.
Huo Feng lived alone. No maids, no housekeeper, he was alone. It was just as it was described in the novel; thus, she had to cook herself.
Fortunately, she had her skills from her original world, and therefore, she was able to cook.
"System, do you think I should send food to him? I think that would be a good idea," she asked as her hands swiftly diced the meat into beautiful shapes.
The system was scared seeing how fast she caught it, and she feared that the knife could cut her hands.
’Host, please, be careful, we don’t want you cutting yourself,’ the system advised.
"Relax, I have done this several times, I am not scared," Yue Ning did not listen to her, rather, she increased her speed.
"So you are my brother’s new wife?" She suddenly heard an unfamiliar voice, causing her to lose her concentration, which brought about a cut on her finger.
