Before they headed to bed, Cheng Biyuan walked into the master bedroom of the main structure and also found his wife waiting for him. He couldn’t help but to ask, “How come you are still up?”

Those years had taken it all from you. All your feistiness were all gone. Ever since we got here, our lives were much tougher than before, but relatively peaceful. Even so, you’d never confront anyone, and that had molded you into this very compliant personality.”
“Ye, am I too helpless? Do I make you worry too much about me?”
