Soren rolled his eyes at Elise before flicking her glabella with his finger.

"Stop acting like a slut already. It isn’t like we are separating for good."
Well, since he would get a Daily Reward Roll from her by completing the daily quest, of course, he wouldn’t want to miss it.
"Let’s meet here again tomorrow at the same time, okay? I will wait for you here."
He had a few hours before the usual lecture. He could take that time to complete the daily quest with Elise.

After that, he decided to wander through this forest a bit while training since he still wanted to meet that little guy who had been following him all day yesterday.

Somewhere inside the deep WhiteLeaf Forest, a massive lizard’s body jerked violently as a thick, dark bone pierced straight through its chest, driven by the skeletal figure wielding a sword.

The creature let out a sharp, broken cry, its claws digging into the earth for a brief moment before all strength left its body.
*Thud!*
Its enormous frame collapsed onto the ground, lifeless, as the bone jutted out from its back, dark blood slowly pooling beneath it.
If Soren were here, he would definitely recognize that it was a StoneBack Lizard he saw before. Only, it was larger and higher in level.
Unfortunately, no matter how high its level was, it couldn’t even put up the faintest of resistance against the skinny skeleton in front, wielding a dark sword.
"Did you find it?"
Surprisingly, even though the skeleton was made up of only bones, it seemed conscious.
It just turned its head slightly, hollow eye sockets fixed to the side as it let out an eerie sound.

Yet its authority seemed extremely high as a group of people cloaked in red robes trembled beneath it, not daring to raise their heads.
Only the leader spoke, stuttering, clearly terrified.
To be honest, it looked almost comical how such high-level humans were prostrating themselves before a mere skeleton armed with nothing but bones and a useless sword.
"Then... what are you doing here? Why don’t you just... die?"
But when the skeleton simply spoke in an eerie tone and swung its sword, casually beheading them all, it no longer looked comical.
Rather, the blood and gore painting the ground in an instant made the entire scene feel suffocatingly real, stripping away any remaining sense of absurdity.
That simple sword was so fast that the poor men beneath didn’t even realize they were already dead.
"Oi...Knight...Do you want to go and retrieve that Compass of yours?"
Just as the skeleton finished killing all the men, a brisk male voice echoed from seemingly nowhere. He didn’t seem fazed by the death in front of him.
"No need. Just... focus on the Gate."
"We already located the weak point anyway. Going to the camp and getting on their radar might foul our plan."
The skeleton didn’t seem surprised by the voice, but simply shook its head before swiftly disappearing from its position, as if teleporting.
In the end, only the silence of the forest and the multiple dead bodies remained, which too were strangely dissolving into nothing rapidly.

...they had been killed inside a dungeon.
