Once again returning to the sea of clouds, Alka looked at the bubbles below. Lucilia’s Dream Bubbles were right next to his own. In the outside world, Lucilia was also leaning against him, the living being closest to him.
This implies that in the Dream Realm, the distance between bubbles likely originates from the distance between dreamers in the Real World.
This was the Dream Realm. The Dream Catcher could only bring Alka into it; it wasn’t the Controller of the Dream Realm.
So, I still know nothing about the Dream Realm.
The primary ability of the Dream Catcher was to allow Alka to enter the Dream Realm and wander within it. It also allowed him to freely enter others’ dreams.
Thus, it became apparent that under normal circumstances, moving freely within the Dream Realm was completely impossible. Leaving one’s own dream to enter another’s was even more out of the question.
The Dream Catcher’s main ability must be to grant the user some permissions within the Dream Realm.
Its secondary ability was to use the pink mist within the Crystal Ball to induce Deep Sleep, making people enter dreams. This mist also allowed him to enter the Dream Realm with his real body, enabling his dream-self to interact with the outside world.
However, Alka’s ability to control the Treasure was limited. He hadn’t even achieved the Three Spirals, the basic requirement for controlling the Treasure. He had been forcefully advanced by the Treasure’s feedback. He could feel that the abilities of these Treasures could be further developed and controlled to achieve even more extraordinary effects, but he lacked the capability. Even a Treasure required strength to control. The stronger one was and the more familiar they became with it, the more potent the abilities they could utilize.
However, there were also strange aspects.
For instance, Alka didn’t know if the Dream Catcher could awaken others within the Dream Realm.
It’s unclear if this is an ability of the Dream Catcher or if the Dream Realm has its own set of rules.
It was just like with Lucilia earlier; if she hadn’t touched him, Alka wouldn’t have noticed this.
The Dream Realm is a world that exists on its own, with many features still unknown to me.
It seems I’ll need to study it carefully later.
This Treasure has directly opened the door to a new world for me.
Thinking of this, Alka once again passed through the thick, colorful mist and entered yet another bubble.
He poked his head into the bubble.
This Dream Bubble belonged to Chadite.
This one was also an Island, surrounded by verdant grasslands, woods, and gardens, with a wide river flowing through it.
Chadite was swimming in the river.
Alka flew down from the sky, looking at Chadite in the river.
Chadite was slowly swimming in the river, making a GLUG GLUG GLUG sound. It seemed as if she was blowing bubbles.
Even though Alka was right in front of her, she merely glanced at him and treated him as air.
After observing for a while, Alka confirmed that Chadite seemed to think of herself as a fish.
He didn’t know what to say for a moment.
Silently, he flew back into the sky, passed through the bubble membrane, and returned outside.
The Dream Realm was chaotic and strange; seeing peculiar dreams was quite normal. People always had bizarre dreams, most of the time unaware of them themselves.
Alka once again traversed the dense mist, this time seeing Pororo’s bubble.
Within the bubble was a sea region. Waves surged, creating layers of towering tsunamis that crashed down.
And Pororo was shouting, enduring the impact of the waves repeatedly.
Is he undergoing a trial even in his dream?
Alka exited the bubble and ventured into the mist again. This time, it was Julia’s.
Julia’s dream was a strait. She sat atop a tall reef, watching the sea rise and fall below.
Alka positioned himself in front of Julia.
Looking at Alka before her, Julia simply glanced at him and then turned her gaze back to the sea, ignoring him. She treated Alka as if he were air.
Alka circled Julia, observing her. After a moment’s thought, he asked, "Where do you come from?"
He was experimenting to see if asking people questions in their dreams could elicit answers they wouldn’t give or would hide in the Real World.
After all, dreams are hazy, fuzzy, and beyond one’s control.
Upon hearing Alka’s voice, Julia glanced at him again but showed no intention of answering. After a moment, she looked away.
It was rather awkward.
Seeing Julia ignore him, Alka rubbed his chin and narrowed his eyes in thought. After carefully choosing his words, he asked again, "Is this your hometown?"
This time, Julia didn’t look at him but silently nodded.
She had heard him and responded.
Alka followed up smoothly, "What’s its name?"
Hearing Julia actually answer, Alka thought for a moment and then asked, "What brought you to where you are now?"
To this question, Julia merely continued to stare blankly ahead, showing no intention of answering.
Did that not work? Or was my wording wrong, failing to spark her interest in the dream?
It seemed people in dreams were engrossed in their own worlds, absorbed by their surroundings. Questions had to be tailored to the environment and their currently exhibited emotions to possibly incite their desire to answer.
