Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer Chapter 310

"Monsters in the Dream Realm?" Chadite and Lucilia both voiced their confusion. Alka hadn’t mentioned it. In their understanding, wasn’t the Dream World just clusters of colorful mist? When did monsters start appearing there?

"Last night, I entered the Dream World and discovered that the Dream World of the Homeland Sea and the Dream World outside are completely different," Alka explained simply.

Seeing the interested looks on their faces, Alka smiled and said, "Curious? How about I wake you both in your dreams tonight?"

Hearing their words, Alka nodded, then waved goodbye to them and jumped directly out of the lookout room.

On the open deck, Pororo, Jason, and Juanlu were gathered together, observing something. Surrounded by the three of them was a gigantic fish, about three meters long, with pale cyan skin and a somewhat broad body. It wasn’t completely dead yet, struggling faintly; it looked like it wasn’t far from death.

A sharp dagger appeared in Jason’s hand as he prepared to dissect the fish. Pororo and Juanlu, beside him, were still offering guidance.

"Slice smoothly from here to here. Don’t chop the bones inside. This part should make good sashimi."

"This fatty part is quite good. Add a little seasoning, and you can pan-fry it without any oil. It’ll be a nice delicacy."

"The meat in this area is interesting. The texture looks excellent, and there’s a faint trace of Magic Power remaining here. Very nourishing!" Updates are released by 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝✦𝘧𝙞𝙧𝙚✦𝕟𝕖𝕥

Alka walked over and squatted down beside them. Looking at the fish they were dissecting, he couldn’t help but ask, "Is this fish unique to this sea region?"

Pororo, who had caught the fish, shook his head. "I don’t know. I’ve never seen it in the Homeland Sea. But speaking of which, this sea region is indeed rather desolate. There are far fewer creatures underwater here compared to other places."

When Pororo had gone underwater, he’d felt that the seabed here was very desolate, not lively at all. The Ocean usually teems with far more life than the land; it’s rare to encounter such desolation. Even in the Realm of Pitch Darkness, there’s its own unique ecosystem; it’s nowhere near as barren as this. It was a bit like a bathtub filled with water—nothing but water.

Alka had actually noticed this the previous night. After all, for such a vast expanse of sea, its representation in the Dream World was too quiet. Creatures with even a little intelligence can generate dreams. Yet, in the Dream Realm corresponding to such a vast sea region, one could barely see any Dream Bubbles. Truly a bit too barren.

Just as Jason finished dissecting the fish, he looked up and happened to see something on the distant sea surface. A monocular telescope appeared in his hand, and he began to observe. Seeing his action, the others turned to look.

On the sea surface, countless pieces of broken wood and various debris were drifting rapidly with the current, passing by them. They moved to the ship’s railing to get a closer look.

"See that flag?" Jason pointed to a flag hanging on a distant wooden pole.

The flag was tattered, but the original patterns were still somewhat distinguishable on the remaining half.

Alka nodded. "Those are from the ships that set out with us, right?"

Though the flag was tattered, Alka could still make out enough of the remaining pattern to have a faint impression of it. Alka remembered this ship; it should have been intact when they separated from the main fleet.

So it couldn’t escape destruction in the end? How cruel.

They watched the wreckage quickly drift past them, floating away into the distance.

Watching the speed of the wreckage, Juanlu couldn’t help but say, "This means our speed is much faster, then."

Jason then patted Pororo beside him and said, "Pororo, help me get those wooden boards. Something seems off."

Pororo saw where Jason pointed, jumped off the deck, and shortly returned, holding the two wooden boards.

Looking at the wooden boards Pororo brought back, Alka also noticed something was wrong: the breaks were too clean. It was as if they had been smoothly sliced by something extremely sharp. It wasn’t just these two boards; much of the wreckage on the sea surface bore similar cutting marks.

Jason said, "This definitely wasn’t smashed by waves. Something destroyed their ships."

Alka nodded. "It seems this sea area, though desolate, isn’t safe."

There wasn’t much they could do except be more vigilant.

「The first day in the outside world passed in such boredom.」

Alka lay on his bed and quickly sank into the Dream Realm. When he awoke again within the Dream Realm, he realized something was amiss. He immediately exited his Dream Bubble.

Lucilia’s and the others’ Dream Bubbles were now scattered around them again. The pink mist he had previously controlled to surround them was long gone.

Alka closed his eyes, carefully sensing his surroundings. The Dream Death God he had marked was now very far away.

Damn it, I forgot this is no longer the Homeland Sea.

Alka, suddenly recalling something, couldn’t help but curse himself. This was the outside world; their ship was navigating in the Real World. When they sank into dreams again, their Dream Bubbles naturally surfaced elsewhere, appearing in the area corresponding to their location in the Real World.

The Dream Death God he had marked was still active in the previous area, and the eggshell-like mist also remained in that region. But Alka and the others had moved on, and so their Dream Bubbles had moved with them.
