Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer Chapter 338

"Is this hair? Sorry, haha, I pulled the wrong one." Lucilia apologized with a laugh and then continued her work.

Chadite sat on the edge of the small garden in the center of the deck, while Lucilia and Ling helped separate the Silver Threads from her hair.

Chadite’s hair was naturally bright silver, and coincidentally, so were these threads.

Just moments ago, when she attacked the ball-of-thread monster, she had used her fists to smash it directly.

Silver Threads flew everywhere, many sticking to her hair, so she had to rely on the two petite Puppet Girls to help clean them out.

Lucilia finally separated the last Silver Thread from Chadite’s hair and let out a breath.

Hearing this, Chadite lowered her head, shook her hair, and confirmed that no Silver Threads fell out.

"Thank you, Lucilia." She then turned to the other Puppet Girl on her shoulder, Ling, and added, "Thank you too."

Ling looked up at her and nodded somewhat stiffly. "You’re welcome. It was the Master’s order."

Then, the two handed the collected Silver Threads to Alka.

Alka took these Silver Threads, tied them neatly, and placed them into a specially made small box.

This special box was designed to preserve the Spell Materials inside perfectly and prevent the loss of Magic Power over time.

However, Alka felt these boxes weren’t as necessary anymore, mainly because the ambient Magic Power concentration had significantly increased.

Unless they were high-energy materials or items, it would be difficult for their Magic Power to dissipate over time.

Some low-magic materials might even strengthen over time, all thanks to the high ambient Magic Power concentration.

"That monster just now looked really strange. Was it a special type, or are there many bizarre creatures like that out in the open sea?" Jason asked, lying on the deck and propping himself up with his hands.

Alka turned, gave him a sidelong glance, and said quietly, "Don’t jinx it. You’d better keep quiet."

Hearing Alka’s words, Jason became agitated.

"What jinx? Don’t accuse me wrongly! That was just a coincidence earlier. I just happened to mention a possible situation. What does that have to do with me?"

Jason argued, but everyone looked at him with disbelief.

Seeing the looks on their faces, Jason wanted to continue his defense.

"Alright, Jinx, go on up to lookout duty. It’s your turn." Pororo patted Jason’s shoulder and, before Jason could say anything, tossed him straight up.

"I told you, I’m not a jinx!" ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ 𝚗𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚕·𝚏𝚒𝚛𝚎·𝚗𝚎𝚝

Jason shouted while grabbing a flying rope in mid-air and climbing into the crow’s nest.

However, he didn’t continue arguing; after all, the coincidence had been too uncanny.

However, time would prove his innocence. He firmly believed this.

"It’s getting so late," Juanlu announced. "Wait a moment, I’ll go make dinner. Since it’s this late, let’s just have some simple fried rice." Everyone nodded in agreement, and he hurried off towards the kitchen.

Alka looked up at the sky.

The sky had already darkened, with only the faintest traces of light visible on the horizon.

They had only passed through the Storm Sea Region that afternoon, then endured a Sea Beast’s pursuit. By the time they finally relaxed, it was already night.

What an exceedingly full day.

While waiting for dinner, everyone sat in various spots on the open deck, chatting idly.

"It’s really dangerous out here. Even a random Sea Beast is that strong," Lucilia remarked, unable to stop herself as she recalled the earlier Sea Beast.

Hearing this, Alka suddenly smiled, and then a Mirror Surface appeared on his face.

Reflected on the Mirror Surface was the image of the Sea Beast they had encountered on the ocean earlier.

Several people stood up involuntarily at the sight of the image on his mask.

This time, Alka didn’t simulate its head. Instead, a mirror-like liquid enveloped his hands and spread up to his arms.

A mirror-shattering visual effect occurred, and Alka’s hands transformed into countless extending Silver Threads.

Alka, the Mirror Surface still on his face, looked down at his transformed hands.

This feeling is so strange.

His ingrained habits of controlling a human body were useless for these threads. Each individual thread could be controlled independently, an operation far too complex for a human brain to manage.

Alka could only manage chaotic control, watching as his arms, now countless lines, thrashed and spread wantonly around him.

"Hey! Put me down, quickly!"

A few threads shot out, wrapped around Lucilia who was nearby, and left her dangling in mid-air.

Lucilia slapped at the threads, shouting loudly at Alka.

Alka coughed awkwardly. "AHEM, sorry. I can’t control these threads right now."

After speaking, Alka canceled the simulation. The mirror-shattering effect appeared on his arms again, and the myriad of extending threads retracted, reforming into his original arms.

Lucilia also fell, performing a somersault in mid-air before landing steadily on her feet.

"You can simulate that monster?" Chadite asked, her curiosity piqued.

What surprised her most was that Alka could simulate it just from observing its external appearance.

Alka nodded. "If you compare them to a human, those Silver Threads that emerged are its hands and feet. I only observed the Silver Threads wrapped around the monster’s exterior and the way they attacked."
