"Hmm." Kristina Kingston was in an indifferent mood, just glanced at her lightly, and then passed by her.
Mary was about to go downstairs when she saw Mia Lane coming up.

"That depends on whose heart you’re asking," Mia answered, facing her gaze, neither humble nor arrogant. "Some people think I’m worthless, while some would give their lives for me."
Thinking of Anton Miller, Mia’s heart would still ache faintly.
He had gone upstairs on his knees, that proud man.
If Anton died today, there would never be redemption for Mia’s heart.
This answer, however, was a slap to Kristina Kingston’s face. The biggest difference between her and Mia was that Mia had someone who loved her, while Kristina was lacking in love.
"Risking my son’s life, you feel proud, don’t you?" Kristina accused her, "Do you think this is your bragging right?"
"Aunt Kingston, this isn’t bragging, it’s the truth," Mia said calmly. "I think people need to learn to be tolerant, to accept, to love everything connected to the one they love, to cherish, for only then can there be happiness."
Having survived this life-and-death experience, Mia had a new insight into life.
She used to think Kristina Kingston was unreasonable, but now she felt pity for her.
Because she would never escape the fortress she built herself.
Hearing this, Kristina Kingston was even more displeased, "Are you saying I don’t know how to be tolerant? I don’t know how to accept? Can’t love everything related? Don’t know how to cherish? Can’t be happy?"
