Finn Morgan felt he asked too abruptly, and when she questioned him back, he didn’t know how to explain.
But Hailey Hale tilted her head with a cheerful smile, eager to answer, "I’m not going back tonight, my parents went to Auntie’s, so could you house me for another night?"
How could it be called housing? He couldn’t wish for more!
Finn Morgan nodded expressionlessly, "Alright, I got it." Suppressing his inner delight.
"I’ll cook dinner for you tonight, what do you want to eat?" Finn Morgan asked, "After eating noodles with me for so long, it’s time for a proper meal."
"The Last Supper?" This is what she thought of.
Finn Morgan was speechless, "..."
"Alrighty!" She happily said, "Then I’ll head back first, let’s go grocery shopping after work!"
Watching the girl leave with joy, Finn Morgan felt a bit relieved but also inexplicably sad; somehow, he realized he actually liked this little girl.
