Dennis Hale put an arm around her shoulders, guiding her out of the apartment, "What if it’s just a dinner party at a friend’s house? Why make such a fuss?"
"This isn’t about a dinner party." The woman urgently stressed, "I trust my intuition!"
"But it’s still early, how can you be sure she won’t come out tonight?" Dennis Hale trusted his daughter, she wasn’t the type to be reckless.
"..." The woman couldn’t assure him of anything and remained silent.
The man continued, "Didn’t CEO Kingston say it? Hailey lives at Emerald Cove." A person like him wouldn’t lie.
"..." The woman felt slightly reassured.
"So, we should trust CEO Kingston." Dennis Hale emphasized again.
Finn’s mom had nothing more to say, but she resolutely refused to leave, insisting on waiting to figure things out.
"Alright, alright." The man sometimes couldn’t outmatch the woman and decided to accompany her, "Shall we wait in the car then?"

"Oh come on, they won’t be coming down anytime soon, didn’t they buy groceries?" Dennis Hale opened the passenger door, saying with certainty, "Let’s get in the car first, they’ll have to finish dinner anyway."
Paige reluctantly got into the car, murmuring, "Reverse the car a bit, park it in a hidden spot but where I can still see the main door."

Even though she was very hungry, Finn’s mom had no appetite at all.
"What if Hailey really is in a relationship? Won’t she tell us? Would she move in with someone without a word?" She was still deeply worried.
"Let’s have dinner first, maybe they’ve already started eating."
In an apartment on the 28th floor, Hailey Hale was assisting Finn Morgan in the kitchen, the two of them making crawfish.

Finn’s dad and mom were sitting in the car, having dinner, while Finn’s mom faced the lavish meal like it was unappetizing, her eyes never leaving that door.

"Honey." Dennis Hale had finished eating, taking a handkerchief to wipe his lips, "If our daughter doesn’t come out tonight, what will you do?" He felt it might go either way; nothing was absolute.
"I’ll rush up and drag her down!" Finn’s mom blurted out.
"No." The man shook his head, saying warmly, "I think we should reflect on ourselves."
The woman furrowed her brows, looking at him incredulously, "You’re so used to serving the public that you take everything upon yourself? Why would I need to reflect on myself if she’s the one lacking principles?"
"No." The man explained, "Such a major thing as being in a relationship, our daughter doesn’t wish to communicate with us, what does that imply? It implies the distance between us has grown."
The car interior filled with a stifling silence.
"Our daughter was supposed to be our close little companion. If she has a boy she likes, why would she keep it from us?" Dennis Hale began to introspect, and came to a conclusion, "It’s because we’ve neglected her, been absent from her growth."
This statement struck a chord deep in the woman’s heart, finally calming her down to analyze the situation objectively and rationally.
"This boyfriend is not necessarily the person she will marry in the future." Dennis Hale considered a deeper level of the issue, "In today’s society, as one grows, the criteria for choosing a partner will change."
