Eleanor Sterling looked at him wordlessly and asked, "What’s wrong?"
She lowered her head and met Alaric Faulkner’s deep eyes, which were filled with tenderness.
Eleanor suddenly remembered that when he was drugged earlier, he kept calling her name.
Alaric truly loved her to the bone.
But what nonsense was he talking about? She hadn’t intended to leave him; perhaps she had concerns about the child before, but now what was there to worry about?
"Promise me you won’t leave."
Eleanor sighed and softly said, "I’m right here, not going anywhere."
"Really?" Alaric seemed somewhat incredulous.
"Alaric Faulkner, what kind of shock did you experience? Do you need to see a doctor about your brain?"
The moment Eleanor finished speaking, he cupped her face.
This damn man was amorous again...
Though somewhat speechless, Eleanor did not resist.
Upon hearing Eleanor say she wouldn’t leave, Alaric felt a surge of joy in his heart. He knew Eleanor would forgive him.
Passion melted into his scorching kiss as he couldn’t help but press Eleanor against the wall, kissing her fervently.
Eleanor was entangled with him passively, feeling like she was about to melt under his kisses.
Just before she suffocated from Alaric’s kisses, she finally broke free.
Alaric looked at Eleanor; her lips were swollen from his ravages, appearing pitiful and vulnerable.
"Let’s get married," he suddenly suggested.
Eleanor squinted and almost thought she had misheard.
"Marry me, become my wife."
Alaric could only use this old-fashioned yet effective way to bind Eleanor. Only by claiming her would she not leave.
He held Eleanor’s shoulders and said earnestly and devoutly, "Eleanor Sterling, let’s register our marriage."
Alaric now believed he and Eleanor needed a paper bond of marriage.
"Are you serious?" Eleanor wondered.
"Yes, I want you to be my woman," Alaric replied in a husky voice.
Noticing Eleanor was about to speak, Alaric interrupted her, "You have no right to refuse."
Why did this man suddenly bring up marriage?
"Fine, after the conference, we’ll go to The Keating Family to see Mrs. Keating, then return to Aethelgard and get married."
Eleanor did not oppose; instead, she nodded in agreement.
Alaric was initially delighted, exclaiming, "You agreed?"
Then, as if remembering something, he frowned, showing some dissatisfaction.

"Let’s go." Alaric grabbed Eleanor’s hand.
"Where to?" Eleanor was bewildered.
Upon hearing this, Eleanor was surprised and said, "Are you crazy? Are you planning to get married now?"
"Eleanor, I can’t wait that long."
Eleanor was speechless, "Faye Sterling is still here; at least you have to deal with her first, don’t you?"
Mentioning Faye made Alaric frown unpleasantly.
"Then we’ll go after the conference."
Eleanor realized Alaric was serious.
Was she really about to register the marriage with him?
Seeing Eleanor’s hesitation, Alaric smiled and said, "Eleanor, you already agreed to me, you can’t go back on your word."
Eleanor sighed lightly. Finding a father for her child had always been a little wish of hers.
Now that the biological father had appeared, what was there to hesitate about?
