Tycoon Actor in Hollywood Chapter 285

Lucas couldn't help but smile as he finished the last chord of the song, his fingers lingering on the guitar strings for a moment longer. Jennifer's face was a mix of amazement and admiration, her eyes shining with awe.

"That's... that's amazing," she breathed out, her words trailing off in wonder. "You're... you're amazing. How do you do it? How does your brain work to make such a beautiful song?"

Lucas chuckled and set the guitar aside, an air of modesty about him. "That's a secret."

"Secret, huh?" Jennifer replied with a playful laugh. "Will you share your secret if I share my secret with you?"

Lucas raised an eyebrow in surprise. "You? Hiding something from me?"

Jennifer's cheeks flushed slightly as she nervously played with a strand of her dyed hair. "Well... I've been thinking about... um... cutting my hair. After the filming wraps up, of course." The words tumbled out in a rush. "I've consulted with some experts, and they say the constant dyeing is... it's not so good for my hair. It's... it's being damaged."

Silence fell between them, and Jennifer couldn't help but feel insecure, as if Lucas wouldn't like the new look. "So... will you share your secret now?" she asked, attempting to change the subject.

Lucas didn't immediately respond, instead, he gently caressed her hair, enjoying the feel of it between his fingers. "Even if you did cut your hair, you'd still be beautiful, you know that, right?"

Jennifer's insecurity was evident in her voice, "Really? It's not... gross?"

Lucas shook his head, "No, it's not gross. It's... it's beautiful. Don't doubt it." He smiled reassuringly, "In fact, to stop damaging your hair further, I think you should consider cutting it now."

Jennifer sighed, her shoulders drooping, "I don't think it's possible, Lucas. They still need my... my real hair for this."

"A wig would solve the problem, though," Lucas countered.

"No," Jennifer chuckled, waving off the suggestion. "Don't worry about it. My hair can handle it. It's not that bad."

Lucas looked unconvinced, but he relented with a sigh. "Alright, then... just make sure to take care of it, alright?"

Jennifer nodded, a grateful smile on her face. "Now, are you just trying to distract me so you wouldn't have to tell me your secret?"

Lucas laughed, his hands up in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, you got me." He grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "I'll tell you one of my secrets."

Jennifer leaned in, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. "Go on, spill your secret!"

Lucas's eyes seemed to hold a secret as he leaned in close to Jennifer, his voice a conspiratorial whisper. "I actually have... a mental ability that helps me with my acting and singing..."

After the revelation, he straightened up, a grin playing on his lips as he waited for her reaction. "What do you think? A big secret, huh?"

Jennifer stared at him for a moment, and then she burst out laughing. "You're so ridiculous, you know that?" She playfully nudged his shoulder. "I should've known you'd come up with something absurd ."

"But... I'm telling the truth!" Lucas protested, his expression comically aghast.

"Sure, sure," Jennifer said, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "And I'm a fairy princess from Planet Zurgon."

"I'm not lying!" Lucas insisted, but his words were undermined by the mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Your acting skills are great, I'll give you that." Jennifer laughed, ruffling his hair. "But you're a terrible liar, you know that, right?"

Lucas chuckled, shrugging off the jab. "Alright, alright. I can't fool you. But one day, I'll prove it to you. Just you wait," he said, pointing a finger at her.

"I'm sure you will," Jennifer replied, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm. "In the meantime, let's get some rest. Big day tomorrow."

Early in the day, the cast and crew of the Hunger Games gathered for their daily choreography lessons. Sam Hargrave, the stunt coordinator, oversaw the actors as they practiced their fight sequences.

Jennifer couldn't contain her laughter as she rehearsed her moves with Meta Golding, the two of them clearly enjoying themselves. The same energy echoed throughout the training area as the cast prepared for the 75th Hunger Games shooting.

Lucas, on the other hand, was paired up with the brawny Bruno Gunn. Despite their size difference, Lucas, lean and fit, managed to overpower the burly Bruno, albeit in a playful manner. Crew members couldn't help but capture the lighthearted moment on their phones, often laughing along with the actors.

As Lucas held Bruno in what looked like a friendly wrestling move, Bruno asked between breaths, "Hey, buddy, this is not a wrestling match, right?"

"I know, I know," Lucas grunted, but he was smiling. "Just wanted to see if you've got any moves."

Lucas laughed, releasing his grip on Bruno's arm. "Sorry, man. Did I hurt you?"

Bruno shook his head, "Nah, it's cool. I've had worse."

"Phew, that's a relief," Lucas joked, helping Bruno up. "We don't want to be carried out of here before the real action starts."

"Amen to that," Bruno agreed, both men laughing as they repositioned themselves for another take.

"You're a good sparring partner, by the way," Lucas said, wiping the sweat off his brow.

Bruno grunted in agreement, "Surprising, really. You're stronger than you look."

Lucas grinned, "Thanks, I guess. I dabble in martial arts from time to time."

And it was the truth, sort of. While he didn't attend a real-life dojo, Lucas had his own training ground - his Mind Workshop. There, he practiced various martial arts forms and techniques through sheer force of will. The neurological and muscular connections he forged in his mind translated seamlessly into the real world, making him as adept as any practitioner.

As Lucas and Bruno caught their breath, they noticed a crew member recording them with a phone. The two actors couldn't help but ham it up for the camera, striking poses and flexing their muscles. However, Lucas couldn't resist a harmless prank.

Quickly adjusting his fingers behind Bruno's back, he made it seem like Bruno had devil horns in the camera frame. The crew member stifled a laugh, but it was too late.

Bruno turned around, a frown on his face. "What's so funny? You better spill the beans."

The crew member, flustered, tried to deny any wrongdoing, "N-nothing, sir. Just... you two are funny, that's all."

Bruno narrowed his eyes, not quite believing the crew member's explanation. He turned to glare at Lucas, who had already darted away, chuckling to himself.

"Alright, you're lucky we're done for today, or I'd make you pay for that," he called out, shaking his fist in good-natured jest.

Lucas waved back, grinning like the Cheshire Cat, knowing he'd gotten away with another prank.

The shooting of "Hunger Games: Catching Fire" progressed, the storyline delving deeper into schemes, strategy, and survival. It was an emotional rollercoaster, as Jennifer, portraying Katniss, had just witnessed the Peacekeepers mercilessly kill the old man who had whistled the four notes of the Mockingjay's song, Rue's haunting tribute.

"The last thing I wanted was to start a riot," Jennifer, as Katniss, said in between sobs, her grief palpable. "He has to know that."

Woody Harrelson, playing Haymitch, looked at her with concern. "What do you mean? 'Who' has to know that?"

Katniss lifted her tear-stained face, her eyes blazing with anger, "President Snow. He came to see me."

Haymitch's expression turned grave. "Keep going," he urged, bracing himself for the worst.

Jennifer's eyes welled with tears as she continued her dialogue, staying in character as Katniss. "He's worried about the districts." Her voice trembled, and she glanced at Lucas, who played Peeta. "He said they don't believe we're in love. He thinks I defied the Capitol and got away with it."

Haymitch furrowed his brows. "So, he wants to make them believe it. To prove that even the victors are under his control."

"To make things calm down," Katniss added, her voice breaking.

Lucas, as Peeta, visibly became more agitated. "I just make things worse!" he blurted out, his frustration palpable. He turned to Jennifer and added, "You know, it would've been good to know all of that before I opened my mouth and offered to give them the money."

Katniss apologized to Peeta. "I'm sorry! I didn't know what to do... He threatened my family."

In a departure from the script, instead of sending a lamp flying, Lucas, as Peeta, slammed his fist down on the table with a thunderous bang. Jennifer and Woody, both caught off guard, jolted in their seats. While staying in character, the betrayal and hurt from Peeta's perspective were evident on Lucas's face.

"I have family too, alright? People that I need to protect!" he yelled at Jennifer's Katniss. The raw emotion in his voice was palpable, even though it was just a scene.

Peeta, despite knowing that his relationship with Katniss was just for show, still cared for her as a partner. The revelation that she had been hiding such a crucial piece of information cut him deep. The hurt and betrayal written all over his face, as if he were really feeling those emotions.

Throughout the scene, Jennifer and Woody noticed the growing bruise on Lucas's hand, but they knew they couldn't do anything about it until Francis called "cut." Lucas continued to give a powerful performance, conveying Peeta's anger while also showing his self-control for Katniss's sake.

Finally, Francis yelled, "Cut!" and Jennifer wasted no time rushing to Lucas's side, concern etched into her features. She gently took his now-bruised hand in hers, her eyes filled with worry.

"Are you alright?" she asked, her voice laced with genuine concern.

Lucas, now back to his normal self, gave her a warm smile. "I'm fine," he assured her, wincing slightly as she gently probed the bruised area. "It's just a bruise. I've had worse."
