Ultimate DMC Sytem In Marvel Chapter 74

Next Day – Midtown Manhattan

Sunlight poured through the transparent roof of a luxury transport van as it came to a quiet stop along a wide, open street. With a soft hiss, the doors slid open, and Tony Stark was the first to step out. He wore his signature black sunglasses, a casual blazer, and a classic AC/DC t-shirt underneath. He took a slow look around, scanning the area with sharp eyes.

Right behind him, Alex Morrow stepped out of the van. Dressed neatly in a button-up shirt and slacks, he looked calm and focused. He joined Tony, and the two stood side by side, gazing out at the large, empty piece of land in front of them.

"Three acres," Tony said, checking the data on his wrist device. "It’s zoned for medical and research use. The power grid’s modern. Fiber optics already installed. Not bad at all."

Alex folded his arms. "It’s a great location. Not deep in the city, but still close enough to be reachable. Peaceful too."

"We’re not just putting up another hospital," Alex continued. "We need space for trauma care, outpatient treatment, research labs, recovery areas, and mental health support. If we’re doing this, we’re doing it properly."

Tony glanced at him. "So you want the full setup."

"Exactly," Alex replied. "It should feel more like a place of hope than a sterile, cold building."

Tony nodded slowly. "You’ve got big plans. And you’ll need a lot of money for all this."

Alex gave a small smile. "Luckily, that’s not something I’m short on."

They moved further onto the land. Engineers were already busy outlining the area, and small holographic projectors displayed early layouts. A few news drones hovered at a distance, but Stark’s private security team kept them in check.

Soon, a black hover-SUV pulled up, and some familiar faces stepped out—Rhodey, Pepper, Happy—and not far behind them, a reporter from BusinessTech Today arrived with her camera crew.

Tony gave a small sigh. "I knew this would happen."

The lead reporter walked up with confidence. "Mr. Stark, is it true that Stark Technologies is moving into the healthcare industry? Is this a new direction or just a one-time thing?"

Tony raised his hand casually. "Wrong guy."

He pointed to Alex and smiled. "This is his project. Dr. Alex Morrow. I’m just helping out with support and tech."

All eyes turned to Alex. Cameras pointed. Mics lifted.

Alex stayed calm, his hands in his pockets and his expression steady.

Another reporter asked, "So no Stark branding on the hospital?"

Tony chuckled. "Nope. I’m not putting my name on something I didn’t build. This is all Alex. I’m just the sidekick."

He gave Alex a friendly pat on the shoulder before heading off to look at site plans with Rhodey.

Now the press turned their full attention to Alex as he stepped forward. He took a quiet breath and looked out at the crowd.

"There’s no Stark Medical," he said clearly. "This isn’t about business or brands. It’s about creating a hospital where people actually feel safe and cared for—not just a place you end up when you’ve got nowhere else to go."

A reporter raised her hand. "What makes your hospital different from others in New York?"

Alex motioned toward the engineers behind him. "We’re designing this from scratch. We’re planning for easier check-ins, better-designed patient rooms, advanced diagnostics, and faster scheduling. All with comfort and accessibility in mind."

Another reporter asked, "You’re not a billionaire, Dr. Morrow. How are you paying for this?"

Before Alex could answer, Tony called out with a grin, "He is now!"

The reporters chuckled.

Alex smiled slightly and said, "I’m putting in a good amount myself. The rest is coming from partners, like Tony. But just to be clear—this isn’t a tech startup with a hospital inside it. It’s a hospital first. The tech just helps us make it better."

A third reporter jumped in. "Is this going to be private? Or will everyday people have access too?"

Alex’s tone became more serious. "This will be for everyone. Emergency care, regular checkups, long-term treatments—no one will be turned away."

That answer earned him a few nods. Reporters began packing up.

Pepper approached as the cameras shut off.

"You handled that really well," she said with a smile.

"Thanks," Alex replied.

Just then, Tony returned with Rhodes. "You did great out there," Tony said. "Even I wasn’t that calm my first time facing the press."

Alex shrugged. "Staying calm is part of the job."

He gave Rhodes a respectful nod, and Rhodes returned it.

Tony checked the time. "You sticking around?"

"You go ahead," Alex said. "I’ll look around a bit more and head out later."

Tony nodded and walked off with Rhodes.

As they sat in the car, Tony looked over. "So the military really wants me back in the weapons game?"

Rhodes sighed. "Yeah. Hammer Industries’ weapons aren’t cutting it. They want you back as the top supplier."

Tony frowned and shook his head. "I’m not making weapons again. Not ever."

Rhodes looked at him closely. "What really happened in that cave, Tony?"

Tony leaned back. "I nearly died. And I met someone who lost everything because of one of my weapons."

"I didn’t design those weapons for terrorists or warmongers," he said. "I built them because I believed they could protect people. I thought they’d bring peace."

Rhodes nodded. "Alright. I’ll let them know you’re done. You’re out of the weapons business."

Tony nodded back with appreciation.

A little while later, Rhodes got out of the car and walked off. Tony sat quietly for a moment, then glanced at the Iron Man Mark II armor design flickering on his tablet.

"Alright, buddy," he muttered to himself. "Time to finish what we started."

He turned and headed home.

That evening, Tony walked into his quiet, high-rise apartment in Stark Tower. The skyline outside glowed with the city lights. He took off his tie, tossed it on the couch, and poured himself a glass of water.

Then he dropped into his favorite armchair, letting out a long breath.

This was just the beginning.
