Chapter 502a - Show Them What You've Become
Bob’s whole body shook as he stood, hands pressed against the walls of his prison, ragged breaths coming every few seconds.
The thread that connected him to Max was filled with a sensation, a lust that he hadn’t felt in so long.
Bob had longed for it since the day that boy had let go, letting him take control to fight against the elves who had come to kill Max.
He had yearned for it.
Even now, the sensation was intoxicating.
“What are you doing over there?”
His words were meant for no one and yet Bob wondered if the ones who had imprisoned him were watching and listening.
Surely they can feel the shift in power.
The wall he was using for support felt weaker.
He still couldn’t do anything to it and knew it was pointless to waste the moment that might come.
Somewhere, on the other side, was a well of power waiting for him, begging for him to take it.
Moments passed and the lust for death decreased and Bob was able to stand, no longer needing to lean against something to stay upright.
It had jolted him from the meditation state he had waited in.
Like someone pouring ice-cold water upon a sleeping person, every part of his skin was in shock.
With a trembling finger, he stroked the thread that ran from his chest to Max.
Show them who you are.
Show them who we are.
A wicked smile grew as Bob moved back to the center of his prison, sitting once more on the floor and closing his eyes.
