Unexpected Marriage: She is the Sugar Mommy! Chapter 269

Aunt Winters laughed and said, "This is normal. The more you eat when you’re pregnant, the faster the baby grows. The more you feel hungry, the better the baby grows with enough nutrition."

"Really?" Seraphina Sinclair recalled her pregnancy with Jude Sinclair, and it seemed she wasn’t this capable of eating back then.

With this explanation, no wonder Jude was only five or six pounds at birth; it was due to insufficient nutrition.

But if she continued eating , Seraphina could already foresee that in the near future, she’d end up as round as a ball.

Touching her slightly fatter thighs, Seraphina bit her red lip, deep in thought.

As if sensing her thoughts, Aunt Winters comforted her, "It’s normal to gain some weight when pregnant. Once the baby is born, you’ll slim down."

"But I didn’t gain any weight with Jude," Seraphina pouted, feeling a bit aggrieved as she leaned on Aunt Winters’ shoulder, "Aunt Winters, don’t lie to me."

"Aunt Winters wouldn’t lie to you. I’ve had three children, and the reactions to each pregnancy were different. See, I’m fine now, aren’t I?" Aunt Winters knew what Seraphina was worried about; young women love to look good.

Seraphina felt relieved after hearing that, "Then I’m at ease."

"You need nourishing supplements now, but as the baby grows a bit bigger, you won’t need them. Eating too much or too well isn’t good; if the baby gets too big, it can lead to difficulties during childbirth, so you’ll have to control your diet in a while." Being experienced, Aunt Winters naturally knew much more about these matters than Seraphina did.

Seraphina nodded, indicating she understood.

She felt somewhat frustrated, thinking she’s already a mother, yet it seemed like she didn’t learn anything from her first child; she felt clueless about a second pregnancy.

When you don’t understand, just ask and learn! That’s Seraphina’s motto!

So the next day, she had someone buy over a dozen books about what to read during pregnancy.

This included books on fetal education, too.

It’s undeniable that Seraphina has put a lot of effort into this child.

All sorts of frills were arranged, hoping the baby would grow well in the belly. If it was a pretty little girl, that would be even better.

As Seraphina sat on the bed reading a fairy tale book, she suddenly remembered an important task and exclaimed, "I forgot to buy clothes, a cradle, and toys for the baby!"

"Mom, the baby is only four months along; why the rush?" Jude Sinclair rolled his eyes, knowing it was still over half a year before the birth.

Despite his words, Jude’s little hands were quick to showcase his online shopping orders to Seraphina, "I’ve already bought these things."

Curiosity piqued, Seraphina’s eyes lingered on Jude, and she couldn’t help but laugh, "Looks like you really like the brother or sister in my belly, Jude?" The rightful source is novel⚑fire.net

"It’s a sister," Jude insisted, as he had bought all dresses, hoping for a cute little sister.

"And if it’s a brother?" Seraphina asked.

"Then we’ll just dress him as a girl." Without hesitation, Jude replied.

This answer made Seraphina burst into laughter; he certainly seemed to adore the idea of having a little sister.

Honestly, Seraphina also wanted a daughter, as daughters are more thoughtful, unlike Jude, who was always undermining her.

In the following time, Seraphina spent her days either reading fairy tales or listening to jazz music, dedicating serious attention to fetal education.

Seeing how attentive she was to her unborn child, Jude muttered in frustration, "You weren’t this diligent with me back then; was I picked up from somewhere?"

Camille White, sitting nearby and reading a medical book, chuckled, "Maybe."

"Mom didn’t know you when she was expecting me, right?" Jude glanced up and down at Camille, then whispered, "Do you think she’ll love the new baby more than me?"

Recalling the past few days, Camille took on a more serious tone, "Frankly, when you and your godmother came here, she didn’t show as much care for you."

Back then, Seraphina had just moved here and hadn’t settled down, leading to inevitable neglect of Jude.

Jude was smart and developed earlier than most children, and by one or two years old, he was already aware of things.

Recalling those past moments, although he didn’t remember his in-the-womb experience, during his early days in this world, Seraphina was always busy. Even when she took him along wherever she went, the care he received was still limited.

Jude understood, knowing she was striving to make a living for both of them without enough income, they would go hungry.

In essence, he indeed envied the attention the new baby would get from Seraphina, but it was natural.

Since their living conditions improved, Seraphina had been good to him too.

Thinking of this, Jude’s pout gradually relaxed, his eyes filled with gentle light, as he approached Seraphina, smiling sweetly, "Mom, let me read the fairy tale book to my sister."

"Alright, take your time." Seraphina ruffled Jude’s head, looking at him with loving eyes.

Camille shrugged, having intended to tease Jude but realized the kid was too smart to be swayed by his provocation.

But it’s also a good thing, as he wouldn’t throw tantrums over Seraphina doting on the younger child in the future.

Actually, Jude is quite fortunate, at least he has both his parents around, while they, the trio of siblings...

Watching the harmonious scene between Seraphina and Jude, Camille felt a twinge of discomfort.

"Camille, are you free now?" Slightly saddened, Camille was taken aback when Seraphina called his name.

Seraphina beckoned him over, "You have a nice voice; come sing a song to the little girl so she can hear beautiful sounds, which will make her prettier."

Though not sure of the logic, Camille joined her prenatal education efforts.

"Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are! Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky." Camille’s voice, not yet fully matured, was exceptionally clear and pleasing to the ear.

Listening to his singing, a wave of drowsiness washed over Seraphina, and her eyelids grew heavier.

Five minutes later, seeing his mom already deep asleep, Jude pondered, "Camille, maybe you should change careers; you’d make a great hypnotist."

"I already do that!" Camille gritted his teeth.

"Really?" Jude chuckled, his big eyes brimming with curiosity.

Camille tapped his head, "Take good care of your mom; I have business to attend to and will visit again tomorrow."

"Got it," Jude declared, raising both hands in promise.

Protecting mom and sister is his responsibility as a man.

Since their dad didn’t want them, he’s the only man of the house and must protect mom and sister.

Of course, if it’s a boy, then the brothers will protect mom together.
