"I’ll take you to eat something delicious," Desmond Fairchild said as he started the car.
Although the night was a bit chilly, there were still quite a few people drinking and eating skewers at the barbecue shop.
Both were dressed in formal attire, standing in the shop feeling a bit out of place.
"I’ve heard the little lobsters here are quite tasty; today is a perfect day to try them."
Desmond said with a smile, his eyes full of affection, entirely unconcerned with the looks of others, as he packed two servings of small lobsters to bring home for Seraphina Sinclair.
The area around the villa was still rather quiet, especially at this time; Jude Sinclair was home alone, and upon hearing their voices, hurried out to greet them.
"Smells amazing, what are these?"
Jude sniffed with his little nose, taking a big breath, the aroma of spicy little lobster in the air made his mouth water.
Seraphina raised the bag Desmond was holding: "Super delicious small lobsters."
Desmond took out a plate, served the lobsters, and invited the others to sit down. They chatted while starting to eat the lobsters.
Jude was about to ask how the auction went today when he looked up and saw Desmond casually placing a tender piece of lobster meat at Seraphina’s lips, and Seraphina, smiling, didn’t seem to find the gesture inappropriate at all.
"Dad really treats mom well, poor me, like a little cabbage, unloved and uncared for, truly out of favor now!"
Jude feigned sadness, touching his chest with a pitiful look on his face, but the teasing in his eyes was clear and obvious.
Seraphina hadn’t thought much of it before Jude’s words made her a bit embarrassed, and she blushed instantly.
"Alright, once you’re full, hurry up and go back to sleep," Desmond said with a righteous tone, noticing Seraphina’s slightly flushed cheeks.
Jude joyfully strutted back to his room, feeling delighted. It seemed his dad was indeed impressive, already capturing so much in such a short time.
Moreover, he was very pleased to see such a warm scene, a harmonious family, it’s truly wonderful.
Seraphina only felt that tonight’s small lobsters were tastier than usual.
The harmonious atmosphere lasted right until the next morning; the morning sunlight shone on the bed, and Seraphina rubbed her sleepy eyes.
She was still puzzled about why the alarm hadn’t gone off; after being dazed for a while, she suddenly remembered the time, grabbed her phone, and saw that she had already missed the time to send Jude to school.
In a panic, she hurriedly tidied up herself and rushed downstairs, shouting non-stop, "Jude! Hurry and get up; you’re going to be late for school!"
But the large villa was completely silent; no one responded to Seraphina as she fixed her hair, sharply noticing the note left on the table.
"You have a good rest; I took Jude to school, Desmond."
The bold and carefree handwriting was unmistakably Desmond’s. Seraphina let out a long breath, slowly sat down, and saw the prepared breakfast on the table: millet porridge and scallion pancakes, a very simple pairing, yet thinking that Desmond left it, inexplicably added some unique flavor.

Eating breakfast, Seraphina suddenly wanted to see what Desmond’s room looked like; it seemed she hadn’t been inside even after all this time.
