Unrivaled Soldier in the City Chapter 167

He calmed his breathing. Lin Kuang hid by the wall, surveying his surroundings.

About three meters above him, he noticed an open window, likely due to the heat.

It seems I can only start from here! Lin Kuang thought.

The next moment, Lin Kuang pushed off with his feet, launching himself upward like a skyrocket. His hands gripped the windowsill as he peered inside. Looking carefully, he confirmed there was still no one inside—only rotating surveillance cameras.

These damn cameras again... Lin Kuang muttered to himself in annoyance.

Annoyed or not, he still had to go in.

He observed the surveillance cameras closely, his mind already calculating. The instant a blind spot appeared, Lin Kuang vaulted through the window and rushed into the nearest room.

Inside, two men were chatting leisurely. When the door burst open, they both froze and turned around in surprise.

Just then, Lin Kuang moved like lightning, knocking one man unconscious and grabbing the other by the throat.

"I’ll ask, you answer. Where is the person in charge of Dark Blood’s East Sea branch? How many assassins do you have here?" Lin Kuang’s voice was low and icy. "Tell me the truth, and I’ll spare you. Lie, and I will kill you!"

Hearing Lin Kuang’s words, the man was terrified. The intruder knew this was the Dark Blood’s East Sea branch, yet he still dared to charge in. What kind of person had the gall to do that?

Seeing the man remain silent, Lin Kuang tightened his grip and demanded again, "Speak!"

"I... I’ll talk, I’ll talk," the man choked out, his face turning red.

At this, Lin Kuang slightly relaxed his grip, allowing the man to breathe freely.

"Go on. If you dare to hide anything, your end will be miserable," Lin Kuang warned once more.

The man nodded hastily. "Okay, I’ll talk. Our leader for the East Sea branch is in a room on the second floor. It has a sign that says ’Office’—that’s where he is. As for assassins, we don’t have many here right now. They’re usually out on missions or scattered in different places, so there are only a dozen or so on this floor."

The man told him everything in detail, not daring to hold back under Lin Kuang’s icy gaze. Lin Kuang nodded; a mere dozen assassins were not a concern for him. With that thought, he knocked the man out cold.

Afterward, Lin Kuang quickly changed into the man’s clothes and took two Type 54 pistols from the unconscious men, tucking them away. After a quick check to ensure he hadn’t missed anything, he stepped out of the room and headed toward the office, walking with the composure of a regular staff member.

It didn’t take him long to find the office. Without hesitation, he opened the door and walked straight in.

This so-called office wasn’t an office at all, but a bedroom. A middle-aged man of about forty was resting inside. Lin Kuang’s unceremonious entrance startled him.

The man was, after all, a Dark Blood leader, and his vigilance was impressive. The instant he saw Lin Kuang, he snatched a Desert Eagle from under his pillow and aimed it directly at him.

But in that same instant, Lin Kuang was already beside him. His left hand swiftly seized the Desert Eagle while his right hand clamped down hard on the middle-aged man’s neck. The sudden turn of events was too fast for the man to even register.

When he finally got a clear look at his assailant’s face, he realized that the man before him was the very person they had been trying to assassinate. He thought of how Bloody Hand Lie Yang had been sent on a mission, yet here Lin Kuang was. Clearly, Bloody Hand Lie Yang was already dead!

At this thought, the middle-aged man’s expression turned hideous. His heart filled with shock, but even more so with regret—regret for provoking such a terrifying figure.

"You people at Dark Blood are certainly persistent, trying to kill me again and again. This time, I’m tearing this place down!" Lin Kuang said in an icy tone.

The middle-aged man’s lips moved, but no words came out.

Lin Kuang didn’t give him a chance to speak. He tightened his right hand. With a sickening CRACK, he snapped the man’s neck. The man died instantly.

After finishing him off, Lin Kuang was about to leave when the door suddenly opened. A man walked in, just in time to witness the murder.

The newcomer’s expression changed. He quickly drew a Desert Eagle from behind him and aimed it at Lin Kuang. But before he could pull the trigger, Lin Kuang fired first.

A shot rang out. A bullet slammed into the center of the man’s forehead, killing him instantly.

The gunshot echoed loudly throughout the building, loud enough for everyone to hear.

Lin Kuang knew firing his weapon would expose him, but he’d had no choice. It was either shoot or be shot. He quickly scooped up the dead man’s Desert Eagle. Now holding one in each hand, he dashed out of the room.

At the same time, people began pouring out from all over the factory. Some weren’t assassins, but they were all Dark Blood members, and they were all armed. In a moment, a dozen men had rushed out.

Seeing them, Lin Kuang opened fire first.

The two Desert Eagles became like twin Fire Snakes, spitting a continuous stream of bullets. In just a few seconds, all dozen men in front of him were taken down with headshots, leaving only a few rounds in Lin Kuang’s pistols.

Just then, more men charged out. Lin Kuang fired without hesitation.

After three or four more shots, the magazines in his Desert Eagles clicked empty. Lin Kuang immediately dropped to the ground, drawing the two Type 54s from his back.

The Dark Blood members, thinking Lin Kuang was out of ammo, surged forward again, only to be met by the Type 54 handguns.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The two Type 54s opened fire again, spitting lead. Not a single bullet was wasted; it was as if any firearm in Lin Kuang’s hands could achieve optimal accuracy.

At this time, over a dozen of Dark Blood’s elite assassins gathered. The men Lin Kuang had just killed were ordinary members; these were the true elites. They were all armed with submachine guns and grenades, a truly formidable force.
