At the edge of the East Sea’s cliffs, a nameless Daoist prefers a cool breeze to ascending a mountain peak. The Western Pure Land is home to an old monk who shares chicken soup and stories, while the southern border of the Wilderness features a blind painter using mountain-tall golden-armored puppets to shape the landscape into an embroidered picture. An impoverished youth from the north, witnessing an invasion of Sword Kinesis Immortals, desires to experience these marvels for himself. Inspired by a storyteller's tales of the scholar, the East Sea's tides, the western sand swamps, and the Southern Wasteland's mountains, he picks up a wooden sword and journeys south.
