Chapter 33 - 33: Imposter
"Da da da da da..."
A boy is seen washing some dishes while singing. He dipped the sponge into the soapy water and used it to scrub a plate.
CLICK!!
He heard a door close beside him.
"Oh! You're back. I was wandering why you were taking so long. Let me finish up with this and we will sweep this place." He said without looking back.
"..."
No response.
Tap!
Tap!
Tap!
He heard footsteps, they were drawing closer to him by the minute.
"Say something dude. You starting to weird me out. Did you get the broom from the cupboard? I say it earlier when I we were leaving." He said again expecting a response.
Silence.
"Dude, say something will you?" He turned around swiftly to see what was up.
"What are you doing with-"

Claire just finished off filling the first bucket with water. She picked it up and carried it, her hand trembled a little because of the weight.
"The rate of water has decreased a lot. Let me drop this off in the kitchen just in case theirs run out first." She said to the others filling their buckets with water.
She took it steadily to the kitchen trying her best to avoid any spills. Reaching the kitchen, she dropped the bucket in front of the door.
"Phew!" She breathed a sigh of relief.
KNOCK!
KNOCK!
KNOCK!
She knocked.
Silence
No reply. After waiting for a while she proceeded to carry the water once more and opened the door. Stepping in.
Before she could adjust to the new place she was in, something caught her eyes.
BANG!
DRIP!
She dropped the bucket because of shock, some of the water splashing out of the bucket in the process.
AHHHHH!!
Her breath hastened has she let out a shrilling scream.

Having heard the scream, everyone (Including Claire) gather in the sitting room.
She began to narrate what she saw.
She came across a body laying on the floor of the kitchen. Blood surrounded his head in a pool, forming a kind of puddle around it. She didn't check if the body was dead or not, but the sight was unlike anything she has ever seen before.
The students were surprised after hearing the news. A few of them quickly ran to the kitchen. They came back carrying the body. It looked like it has a concussion. There was also a tear to the skin which must have caused the bleeding.
"Who could have done this?" Peter asked examining the body.
"I have no idea. But he doesn't seem to be dead. Maybe we can still apply some first aid." a student said noticing the body's chest going up and down suggesting breathing is still taking place.
"Yeah, let's do that." Claire said running to a place she remembered seeing a first aid kit and medicine cabinet.
"Wasn't someone with him?" Daniel asked with a raised of an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I was. I came to the cupboard over there to get a couple of brooms so we can sweep the kitchen a bit." A student said. "Who knew that when I was gone, someone would do this." he shook his head in defeat.
"Cupboard, cupboard... " Daniel walked over to that said cupboard, he took a deep breath and opened it.
His eyes widened. His worries were confirmed.
"The sledgehammer.... It's gone." He said with a grave tone.
"What?" They were all surprised and worried. The atmosphere became eerie.
"Wait..." Daniel said suddenly. He saw something at the corner of the cupboard. It was a watch.
He picked it up and showed the rest of the classmates.
"That looks familiar." A student said. " I saw an exact same thing on... him." He pointed to Peter.
All eyes fell on him.
