Entering the Netherworld, crossing the River of Forgetfulness, stepping onto the Naihe Bridge, entering reincarnation—these words may seem simple but weigh heavily on all living beings, making them something they absolutely wish to avoid!
Whether Immortals or Demons, or all living beings, none wish to enter the Netherworld Underworld, for entering here means they are erased from the world, ultimately embarking on a journey through the Six Paths of Reincarnation.
The Ten Palaces Yama, Five Ghost Emperors, and the Eighteen Layers of Hell are furthermore guarded by the Womb of the Earth Bodhisattva, and within the Blood Sea resides the Minghe Ancestor.
These are only the visible powers. The Underworld holds many terrors and many terrifying figures who have always remained hidden within, complicating the situation of the Underworld immensely. Otherwise, the Underworld would not be called one of the strongest forces between Heaven and Earth.
Biluo Netherworld, Naihe Bridge, Wangxiang Platform, Six Paths of Reincarnation, and Other Shore Flower bloom—these are unique to the Underworld, representing terror, among which are known and unknown terrifying figures.
Emperor Fengdu is indeed powerful, even being a Quasi-Saint figure appearing to govern the Underworld with supreme existence, but in truth, within the Underworld, there are many whom he fears, and many do not regard him.
Who governs the Six Paths of Reincarnation?
Who guides spirits to rebirth?
The destination of the spirits, the retreat of the living—know that the souls of beings across the Three Realms enter the Underworld after death. How could a mere Emperor Fengdu, who is but a Quasi-Saint, be the supreme existence?
The Underworld is a mist, an indescribable terror that explains why Ye Xuan, even after ascending the position of Heavenly Emperor in the past, always kept one eye closed to the Underworld because, at that time, he simply could not subdue the Underworld, let alone suppress it.
This was a dim sky, without sunrise or moonset, without star shifting—a realm filled only with the sound of countless spirits wailing and the bleak yin wind howling through Heaven and Earth.
A river flowed ceaselessly from east to west, its waters muddy and filled with uncountable spirits, their cries of distress reverberating throughout.
Despair, yearning, resentment, unwillingness—various negative emotions between Heaven and Earth were growing, being the grievances from the dead, all permeating the Underworld.
None wish to die; no one is an exception, not even Immortals or Demons. For those who enter the Underworld, it signifies the end of their life.
This river holds a pleasant name: Wangchuan River!
The Wangchuan River flows ceaselessly from east to west, countless spirits struggle within it, seeking escape from this river of death, yearning to break free from the riverbank. But under the beating waves, those wailing spirits are cast back into the river, unable to escape their fate of death.
All Heaven’s spirits cry, and Earth’s lament resounds; the muddy waters of the Wangchuan River possess the ability to cleanse souls of spirits, removing any aura that doesn’t belong to the Netherworld Underworld, transforming completely into pure spirits, then stepping onto the Naihe Bridge, fully entering the Underworld!
The sky is dim, filled with yin qi, and the endless waters of the Wangchuan River surge. The void presents ripples, forming an illusory figure within.
The void rippled, light and shadow appeared; Ye Xuan dressed in moon white monk robes, with a halo of Buddha light behind him. Upon his appearance, the yin wind of the void stopped abruptly, and the endless yin qi was dispersed by the Buddha light he emitted.
Calmly scanning the surroundings, Ye Xuan looked at the grim scene of the Underworld without any trace of emotion, even as spirits in the Wangchuan River pleaded for mercy, nothing stirred within him.
“The Netherworld Underworld, the living avoid!”
A grim voice echoed, as a thousand black mists emerged from the void, transforming into a thousand Yin Soldiers. Among them, the leader was fully clad in black armor, obscuring his visage, the words uttered from his mouth.
“May I know which Buddha you are from Lingshan?” A Yin General surrounded by ghostly qi, holding a Yaksha, looked at Ye Xuan, his body surrounded by ghostly yin light, speaking to Ye Xuan with a calm and respectful tone.
