However, unknown to him, we had accomplished our motive of saving Senior Sister Zhu Ling.
When he was focusing on defending against the talisman attack, Senior Sister Zhu Ling took that opportunity to run away.
However, it was then that we realized that we had made a mistake.
As soon as Nume Zian turned his attention to Senior Sister Zhu Ling's direction, he understood what had happened.
He looked for her and instantly spotted her running towards the exit of the valley at a high speed.
Instantly an angry expression reflected on his face as he picked up his mace and threw it towards her with full power.
The mace instantly broke the sound barrier due to the massive force behind his throw.
It traveled at supersonic speed, instantly catching up to her.
"Senior Sister Zhu Ling, Watch out!" I called out in horror,
However, I was too late.
Her back was struck violently by the mace, sending her flying away.
I looked at Wang Ling Er for help. "Please save her."
However, Wang Ling Er hesitated, knowing the vast power difference between herself and Nume Zian.
I then noticed Nume Zian walking towards her as he picked up his mace on the way.
"I was just playing till now, but, you dared to run away? You are a bad girl. You should be punished." He said as he walked up to Senior Sister Zhu Ling's battered body.
However, there was no playful tone in his words this time. He was done with playing.
On the other hand, Senior Sister Zhu Ling was struggling to get up and was coughing up blood frequently.
On her face, she had a terrified expression and her body shivered in fear upon seeing Nume Zian coming close.
I looked around in panic and desperation to find a way to save her. It was then that my gaze fell on Qi Nao.
He should be able to help her. He is also a 9th-stage origin realm cultivator like Nume Zian, right?
This thought instantly crossed my mind.
"Senior Brother Qi Nao! Help Senior Sister Zhu Ling!!" I yelled, looking at him with desperation.
My body ached like hell right now. Even standing up was a difficult task for me. I could only hope that Qi Nao would help Senior Sister.
He was pushing back his opponent right now as he attacked him ruthlessly with his sword.
Hearing my scream for help, he glanced at me and yelled while attacking his opponent:
"I'm close to defeating my opponent! Once I do, we can work together to defeat their boss!"
He mainly meant that sacrificing her for the group was the right choice.
She was doing great by distracting him and he wouldn't save her.
When I thought about this incident afterward, I understood where he was coming from.
He was the group's incharge and he would be responsible for the group.
He couldn't put Zhu Ling above the group and save her.
If by sacrificing her, the group could survive then he would do it.
However, right now, to me, this was unacceptable.
He wants to kill his opponent instead of saving senior sister Zhu Ling?
Then what will I tell Master? That she died because our group needed to sacrifice her to stay alive?

It was Chu Lin who had just killed him as he panted.
I instantly found hope in him as I yelled: "Chu Lin, save Senior Sister!"
He looked at me and nodded.
I then looked at Wang Ling Er and requested: "Please help him distract that monster."
"Alright." She nodded before handing me a pill: "This is a healing pill. Take it, you'll feel better"
I instantly took the pill and watched her leave to help Chu Lin.
Chu Lin rushed toward Nume Zian and taunted:
"Demon! Stop bullying a girl and fight me!"
He was already tired after his previous fight, however, he didn't let it on his face.
Wang Ling Er joined his side, pointing her sword at Nume Zian:
"Fight us if you dare!"
Nume Zian glanced at them and laughed: "Two ants dare to challenge me?"
He turned towards them and nodded: "Fine. I accept your challenge. Let me send you both to your death."
Chu Ling and Wang Ling Er exchanged glances before Chu Lin conjured his signature skill, The Fire swirl and Wang Ling Er attacked with an Icicle shower.
Chu Lin swirled his sword in front of Nume Zian, making a circle in the air with his sword.
A tornado of flames shot from the center of this circle toward Nume Zian.
Nume Zian smirked and defended himself by striking the tornado with his mace.
At this time, Wang Ling Er shot a rain of Icicles at him, not giving him time to react.
His eyes widened in horror as he jumped out of the way at the last moment.
He looked at them in caution and said: "You both. I took both of you too lightly. I'll be getting serious now!"
Saying this, he launched himself at Chu Lin, moving at a terrifyingly fast speed, appearing in front of him in a flash.
He swung his mace towards him. Chu Lin instantly moved up his sword to defend himself, however, he didn't expect that he would face the same fate as me.
He was sent flying as his sword broke into two due to the sheer force behind his attack.
Chu Lin attempted to get up, however, since he was struck in the chest by the mace, he was having trouble breathing properly.
Since I was feeling a bit better after eating the Healing pill, I rushed to help him.
I picked him up by his elbow, helping him to stand. I put his hand around my shoulders to help him maintain his balance.
"Thank you, my friend..." I whispered.
He looked at me and smiled warmly, hiding the pain he was feeling right now.
I could feel his shivering hand and body, however, seeing him trying to hide the excruciating pain he was feeling, I couldn't stop tears from welling in the corners of my eyes.
I heard Wang Ling Er's scream as I looked ahead and suddenly felt a breeze pass me.
I only saw Nume Zian's mace coming towards me, however, it didn't come in contact with me, instead, struck the person who I was helping to stand up.
The mace had struck his head and I heard a bone-cracking sound.
