When the two returned home, Gu Yan rushed to the kitchen to cook.
"What would you like to eat tonight, boss?" Gu Yan asked. She was in a good mood today, all thanks to Tang Yuxiu, so she was more than willing to take care of his appetite first thing.
Tang Yuxiu was quite pleased that she asked for his opinion when cooking.
"I don’t like cabbage, carrots, celery, chicken, lamb, dog meat, garlic, onions, pumpkin, tomatoes, scallops, mushrooms," Tang Yuxiu paused, nodding to himself as if to confirm, "That’s it for now, you decide what to make."
With so many things you don’t eat, you might as well eat nothing at all!
As Gu Yan washed the rice, she poked her head out of the kitchen, "Boss, how did you grow up so healthy being so picky?"
Tang Yuxiu answered seriously, "I have a naturally good constitution and coupled with regular reasonable exercise, I grew up well and healthy."
Gu Yan was speechless. Could you not look so proud when saying that? It’s annoying!
Having no common language with him, unable to continue the exchange, Gu Yan returned to the kitchen to plug in the rice cooker and picked out some dishes from the fridge.
Tang Yuxiu’s first task after coming home from work was usually to go upstairs and take a shower, but listening to the bustling sounds from Gu Yan in the kitchen, he suddenly wanted to stay in the living room.
He turned down the volume of the TV, able to clearly hear Gu Yan washing vegetables, chopping, igniting the stove, and putting things into the pot in the kitchen.

Two dishes and a soup, carrot stir-fried with meat, celery stir-fried with beef, and a winter melon pork rib soup—simple home-cooked meals, each featuring different meats.
Tang Yuxiu immediately spotted the carrots and celery he disliked, frowning.
"I told you I don’t like carrots and celery, didn’t you hear?"
"I heard you, you can just not eat them."
"How am I supposed to eat !" Tang Yuxiu’s face fell. He had thought the Gu Yan who asked for his opinion was adorable, but now he found her infuriating!
Did she purposely choose to make things he doesn’t like?
Gu Yan blinked, "Just don’t pick them up, how simple is that."
"But they’re so unsightly! Pick them out for me!" Tang Yuxiu pushed the two plates of food in front of her, ordering.
Gu Yan looked at him and seeing how truly disdainful he was, couldn’t help but retort, "Carrots and celery are so nutritious, and you don’t eat them. No taste."
Though she retorted, she started seriously separating the meat from the vegetables on the plate.
Tang Yuxiu’s darkened face finally cleared, and he suddenly found Gu Yan adorable again.
Gu Yan glared at him, "Tonight, you aren’t allowed to leave any food, you must finish it all."
Tang Yuxiu ignored her, focusing only on his own meal.
Gu Yan felt a pang of frustration in her heart, silently eating her rice. Considering the huge favor you gave me today, I’ll put up with whatever you do and resolutely not oppose you!
Next time, I definitely won’t let you off!
Gu Yan roared internally, transforming her grief and indignation into appetite, finishing all the carrots and celery Tang Yuxiu wouldn’t eat, and even had a bowl of soup.
