Gu Yan stared at him, "Is it really like that?"
"What do you expect? Think I want to stand up for you and can’t bear to see you get hit?" Tang Yuxiu sneered at her, "You think too highly of yourself; don’t overestimate how much you matter."
Gu Yan furrowed her brow and pouted, "Don’t speak so directly; it hurts."
It all sounded like a joke, but Gu Yan felt a bit uncomfortable inside.
To him, besides being his mistress, she had no other significance, right?
Maybe, a mistress doesn’t even hold any significance.
Tang Yuxiu glanced at her, acting as if he was about to open the car door, "Since we’re still at the hospital, let me take you to apply some medicine to reduce the bruises."

Tang Yuxiu snorted again but started the car and left the hospital anyway.
On the way, Gu Yan herself bought some medicinal liquor and also packed meals for two from a relatively upscale restaurant before returning to Luoshui Apartment.
When they got home, Gu Yan turned on the TV and casually ate dinner on the coffee table, but Tang Yuxiu kept a cold face the whole time, looking as if someone owed him a few million.
"Eating dinner like a funeral, aren’t you losing your appetite!" Gu Yan sat cross-legged on the floor, swallowed a bite of food, and glared at him, unable to bear it any longer.

The coffee table was so low, sitting on the sofa made him stand out, and he had to bend over to reach the dishes, feeling like those particularly tasteless and particularly down-and-out men.
It made him extremely unhappy.
"I let you sit on the floor, but you chose not to." Gu Yan glanced sideways at him, her eyes filled with ’serves you right’.
