Bella Acker really ran away.
She left the card and villa keys given by Damian Sinclair all on the coffee table in the living room, took nothing but her ID and the little over a hundred bucks she had on her, and escaped from the villa where she had lived for five years.
Outside the villa, she walked on the asphalt road, looking around and realizing she was homeless.
No relatives, and because she followed Damian Sinclair early on, their relationship was special, she didn’t even have friends. She was like a rootless duckweed, with no support or reliance.
Bella Acker had never felt so pitiful before. Her heart felt empty, causing her to panic and feel uncomfortable, as if she would stop breathing the next second.
Slowly, Bella Acker squatted under a streetlamp, tears welled up in her eyes, dropping to the ground one by one.
She didn’t know where to go, nor where she could go, she cried for a long time before taking out her phone from her pocket, looking at the only two phone numbers inside.
One was Damian Sinclair’s number, she couldn’t call it anymore. The remaining one was Sandra Woods.
Sandra Woods was watching TV with her parents when the phone suddenly rang, seeing the caller ID, she answered jokingly first: "What’s up? Finished your date and finally remember me, your sister?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she heard sobbing on the other end of the line, "Shannon, I’m so sad, but I don’t know who to turn to."
Sandra Woods immediately stopped smiling, frowned and said, "Bella, don’t cry. Where are you? I’ll come find you."
Sandra Woods’ mom was listening nearby, picked up the remote to lower the TV volume, with her eyes inquired her daughter, is your friend in trouble?

"Alright, you wait there for me, don’t wander off, I’ll be right there."
After hanging up, Bella Acker looked down at the phone in her palm.
This phone was bought for her by Damian Sinclair, saying it was for convenient contact. And inside this phone, before saving Sandra Woods’ number, only Damian’s number was there.
Now he didn’t need her anymore, didn’t need to contact her, then why was she keeping a phone that existed only for Damian?
Bella Acker suddenly stood up and threw the phone into the roadside greenery, as if doing so could slightly ease her heartache.
Sandra Woods arrived quickly, Bella Acker felt she hadn’t sat by the road for long before she came.
"Bella, how are you?" Sandra Woods stepped out of the car, walked over quickly, and asked worriedly.
"Shannon, I’m sorry for calling you out so late."
"This is not the time to say things like that." Sandra Woods looked at her swollen eyes from crying, somewhat worriedly reached out and said: "Can you stand up? It’s not safe outside at night, let’s talk in the car."
"Mm." Bella Acker nodded, held Sandra Woods’ outstretched hand for support to stand up, wiped the tears off her face, and got into the car with her.
