“We didn’t know it would go this far!” The maids pleaded desperately, truly feeling they were misunderstood since they simply were told by the old missus to not let anybody approach the storeroom and they obeyed in the morning.
“I don’t care,” said Huo Yunting coldly, “You have two options: quit this handsomely paid job, get out of this house *or* you offer yourself to live in the storeroom for two weeks. One at a time, of course. Don’t worry, you’ll be given food once per three days. Don’t have to thank me if you manage to lose a few pounds.” He then rubbed the butt of the cigarette on the plate.
“Your wages will still be given. Nobody will stop you from leaving.”
“Please, young master! We won’t do it anymore!”
“Yeah, we didn’t know who was inside! We won’t do it again!”
“I beg you, young master. I’m afraid of the dark, don’t lock me inside there!”
